TAMU, Knower of Ball

Just glad Mbakwe hasn't snapped his fingers while wearing the Infinity gauntlet.  Yet.

The infinity gauntlet is actually a cast of Mbakwe's hand

Mbakwe part of Marvel continuity?

He is part of the MCU, DC studios, Sony Pictures, 20th Century Fox, Lionsgate Entertainment, and Universal Pictures universes. And none of them. At the same time.

No kidding, really?

I was listing all the recent transfers in the last two regimes that I would count as regrettable losses.

If I went back further, Crean recruits had a few (under buzz) -- maybe I should have added Mbakwe (but he didnt go to a HM) and christopherson (he did).

In that case you forgot Mbao

Nice dig at the Big 14.  Mbakwe ended up at Minnesota.

Maybe I'm confused.  I though he went to the CC in FL first.  Am I misremembering?

Yeah ok his sentence was a little out there. I mean I think you don't have to even mention Theo unless he is upset about something. Theo will obviously start.
Did Theo have surgery on his thumb?

No, they are part of the Mbakwe universe.

The thing working against Sy is that he really can only play one position. He doesn't have the shot or the offensive game in general to slide to the two. I wonder if Carton will be used off ball at all to get some scoring opportunities (sort of like Markus). That could bode well for Sy as he is a good passer and unselfish.

Also interested to see what happens with Koby. It could go either way for him but hoping he bounces back.
I think Koby becomes starts at the 2 guard. He might be very happy not playing the point.

Symir needs to get stronger. He was not physically ready for the Big East.

I think this is accurate. Despite how poorly Koby played at times, and how hard the fans became on him, he has a lot of strong suits to his game that Wojo will want on the court as long as he stays out of his own head.

He will be in a more natural 2/small 3 wing role ala sacar. I didn't see him at Utah St but I'm pretty certain he will be more comfortable in this role.

He is a very good defender, likely will be MUs best G defender and will draw the toughest assignment.

He is an awesome rebounder. He is also a very emotional and high energy guy that will get you extra possessions. He will be the most experienced player on the team.

I know that many here believe that if he plays a lot MU is in trouble but I disagree. I actually think that if he barely plays MU is in trouble- that would mean that he's either in his own head and emotionally down OR that he's a high volume chucker that's not making much and wojo throws in the towel on using him.

Relatively heavy minutes with good shot selection, low double digit scoring with the ability to get to the line and not need 15-20 shots to get his points, elite defending and rebounding that will become contagious are what Wojo is hoping from him.

If Carton plays, I think DJC and Koby get most minutes at the G spots with Symir and Greg contributing quite a bit. The wildcards imo would Koby going south mentally and Greg's health, in which case Akanno would grab more minutes and one of the 3s would steal minutes at the 2

Symir reclassified and probably could have used a redshirt

We've seen JC, BB and KMc for three, two and one season. We've seen who they are and how they play. All in their early twenties, not 17 or 18 years old. Appear to be three great young men but not great basketball players. To assume a large jump in their games is a pipe dream. Wojo saw it as well which explains his chasing of transfers.

Hoping Sy because a force. The aforementioned three may be the bottom three on the roster. By the way, Oso is not redshirting!

I wasn't trying to rip on you. I thought the subject was transfers Wojo "lost."

I could see Bailey having a jump. We've seen him 2 years off from the game, we saw a good player at times albeit extremely inconsistent this past year. Jamal and Koby I think we've seen all there is.

I dont disagree on Koby, get the primary ball handling n decision making away from him n he could be an asset.  Greg was very solid as a frosh n at 80% last year.  Played with a limp the whole gear and zero explosiveness

Dodsie I didn't know you posted on other boards. Yes Koby, Greg, Jamal, Theo, Ike, Brendan and 2018 Greg, Sam, Joey, Marcus were all hurt unlike any other bb team. Wait till we're healthy! What have you seen from Jamal that you like other than hops? Never seen anyone weaker with the ball or more indecisive unless we can count Koby.

Here we go again.

My understanding is that Mbakwe himself will be THE home crowd at every sporting event in the coming 13 months, saving the home court/field advantage for Vegas.
