I don't think so. Koby, Greg, and Akanno were likely expecting to primarily be slotted in at the 2, and Torrence has been one of the most vociferous MU fan/players in awhile. Can't really see it affecting anyone other than the guards.

Doubt it. Likely wouldn't have been able to cut it anyway if they jump ship when their coach recruits a player when the roster is 20% open.

I would take the Rick SLU program right now.

Worry about it then. We just landed a stud 2 hours ago.

Symir maybe. He pretty much just got over recruited.

DoctorV

Don't think so, but I think one or two more come.

We will let Guru celebrate some before he starts with the Karim Mane is a must get comments!

That said, boy oh boy if Karim came to MU

No, we lost tons of guard minutes. Symir will still likely see nearly as many minutes as he would have had Carton not committed, and will be under a lot less pressure to perform.

CountryRoads

The percentages would say yes. Impossible to speculate who though. I'd say everyone except the freshmen, Theo, and carton could be candidates.

He said Theo *wouldn't* be a candidate for transfer.  Try reading the whole post next time.

Yeah ok his sentence was a little out there. I mean I think you don't have to even mention Theo unless he is upset about something. Theo will obviously start.

Of course I do. Was just reading really fast. What I just said is that it is obvious Theo would not transfer

I hope nobody leaves but if back ups go, they go. I save my worrying for when top players go.

Well stated, Lenny.

In the last 6 years, we've lost exactly 3 players who were capable of staying at the P6 level: Sam, Joey and Deonte. I wish Wojo had found a way to keep all 3. The rest of them? Fine young men, but as we are seeing more and more every year all around the country, transfers happen.

If players leave because they're not quite good enough, I'll wish them well and enjoy watching our Warriors win.

I worry very much when any player leaves the program. If Wojo had a clue what he was doing, he'd know that by giving someone max minutes they are guaranteed to be Steve Nash, Michael Jordan, LeBron James, Tim Duncan, or Shaquille O'Neal, depending on what position they play.

D'Lo Brown

Well according to the Portrykus article, Carton himself is already a candidate to leave... Lol.

If any of these kids think it is in their best interest to transfer, who are we to blame them. This is their life. These kids don't just exist to please you.

I could see any of the guards on the roster outside of Carton transferring down a tad if they wanted to be more of a focal player, but I don't know enough about any of them personally to speculate on it. I also don't know if they'd want to wait until there's more clarity on the transfer rules and pandemic scenarios. I do know that these kids are highly intelligent, so it wouldn't surprise me to see them wait those things out before fully deciding.

I'd add Duane Wilson to that list. He was playing significant minutes for A&M and averaging 12.1 ppg/4.4 apg before his injury during his grad transfer year. I still think letting him get away was a mistake. But overall, I agree that kids transferring out isn't a big deal.

Would that be a fansfer? Short for fan transfer.

Something tells me at the end of the day, they'll all end up pulling a Justin Turner and coming back.

My view has always been, if a player transfers because you brought in a better, more talented player, so be it.

I can understand it from DW's perspective, though. 5th year Senior, once thought to be the key to MU's future, doesn't really want to be coming off the bench for 15 minutes a game. It ended up being a very amicable transfer fortunately. But yes, he is one of the few who could still play at the D1 level.
