There was no prediction that he wouldn't make it.

I wouldn't say you were wrong per se.

Just definitive, and dismissive of Dawson being considered a 5 star or McDs AA candidate.

In a short search I found several articles referring to DG as being a 5 star recruit, and the crown jewel of Marquettes recruiting class. Even one of 247 sports ranking systems has him listed as a 5 star.

As far as his bona fides for McDs AA, his work with team USA and his other accomplishments definitely put him in the conversation IMHO.

Regardless of how Garcia is defined, after watching him - I see him to hold a lot of potential.  He's not uber athletic and doesn't put it back with a dunk below the rim but can play with his back to the basket and shoot from outside.  He looks like a more fluid Frank Kaminsky to me.  We will see if he develops under this sketchy regime.  If he doesn't make the NBA at the end of 3 or 4 years, I'd say it was a waste of talent.

Dead on. His comment is in regards to the elite shoe school's controlling the Golden Rainbow Room selections as seen in his ranking dropping to 4 star because he didn't go to one of those schools. Back room politics.

Heard from a good friend that Stan is talking about Lewis the way he did when he recruited Markus.  Called Markus a program changer before he got here.

My point is, if Dawson is that good, and Lewis is that much better, we may really have something special.  Might just be the reason we are favorable with Mane too.
