Why my wife is awesome

After 57 hours, my daughter is finally Greta True Bykowski. Safe to say there will be no red for Greta either. The only red item I agreed to was UW fleece to cut into diaper wipes so I could wipe her ass with a Wisconsin logo every day. Alas, my wife couldn't find a Wisconsin pattern at JoAnn fabrics so it's llamas and elephants instead.

Our daughter was born at 4:47 am. She was stubborn coming out, but finally greeted the world. My wife hasn't settled on a name yet. We have a narrowed list, we'll see what she decides on.

Aside to tower...that felt just like a busy night at work. Got two hours of sleep, got up for an hour of pushing, another 20 minutes of sleep, back up for an hour, slept a third time, then up from about 1 am on.

Congrats! Hope the fam is getting some sleep.

On the diaper issue, somewhere I recall some company marketing diapers with the rivalry school on the inside and the fan favorite team on the outside.  Can't seem to find it, but if memory serves me it was the Cowboys on the outside and the Eagles on the inside. 

I'd certainly buy some Badger inside, MU outside diapers for my grandson....

Dang, I think you are correct.  Good catch.  No wonder I couldn't find an example anywhere on the search engine.  Still a great idea, even if it came from a sitcom.  I suppose the licensing issues would prevent it.  Can't imagine any team allowing its logo on the inside. 

Anyway, a new life is on the board, and I'm very happy for Clan Brew.

Ha ha ha ha

Got a good one last night. Took him to a burger joint after a successful haircut and half way through dinner I asked him if I could have a bite of his burger and the response was: "You have money, get your own cheeseburger" When I got done laughing, I took a bite of his burger and he was not happy.

Our oldest was two when our younger daughter was born.  The first time I took her to the hospital to see her little sister, she took one look at the baby then said "don't bring it home." It?!?

Over the years, we learned it was only the beginning....

Brew:
0-9 nine months : Lots of fun because baby basically is in crib etc. and cant destroy anything yet.
9 months to 2 years: Baby is mobile and causes havoc every waking moment.
2 -4 years.  Some good moments but lots of discipline .  Mrs. Brew will be pulling her hair out every time she goes to store with baby.
4-13 is a good stretch run. Your Daughter will worship you during this time period. At around 11 you will start hearing how they change and break away, and you will say that can't happen to me. It will happen and don't take it personally.
13-19 Daughter wants nothing to do with you ( or her mother). Audit her friends through other parents and stay one step ahead.
19 She starts coming back in the fold.  First she realizes Mom and Dad control pocketbook, so some revisionist history of prior  years occurs to ensure funds flow through college.
22- Back to being good friends.

Then, around age 22 or 23, the spaceship 🚀 comes back, and gives you your daughter back. She will be best friends with you and your wife. You will be “smart” again

My wife was invited to my niece's baby shower and I looked at the baby registry.

HOLY CRAP are babies expensive these days.   Stroller, high chair, pack 'n play, crib, bathtub thing, bottles, milk machines .. there had to be $2-3k of stuff on there.
