Hate to say it but...

Ethan Happ > Luke Fischer (though not with 5 fouls, but Luke probably found a way to get his 5th in the offseason already)

What if they called fouls on Happ as tight as they do on Fischer?  Happ wouldn't make it to the first media timeout.

Also, really smart play by Jackson for Notre Dame.  He knew they were going to try to call timeout as soon as he came across half court, so he went for the steal as Koenig let his guard down.  Smart play.

Otherwise great game compared to all the other blowouts.

Felt like a first round game with two bad teams.

I disagree on the great game.  It was terrible basketball.  The UW (and often ND) way is to junk up the game as much as possible.  Make it dirty and ugly for 36 minutes to give yourself a shooters chance in the last 4.

Was hoping for the meteorite, but I'll take this outcome.

Tugg Speedman

All year long Bucky fans have been complaining about Koeing's sloppy ball handling.  He literally gave it away twice in the last 30 or so seconds.

I can see what they are talking about.

you sure you "hate to say it"?  because if you did, you wouldn't have taken the time to pick on Luke

Meant more to compliment Happ than trash Luke. Hate to say it simply because it highlighted for me - for the first time because I pretty much wear blue & gold glasses all the time - Luke's limitations. Hope he comes back next year with a face the basket game like Happ has. Luke, if you're reading, not meant to "pick on" you.

Bucky passed down their legs onto the bed they crapped in.

So glad Bucky shat the bed, sick of hearing about how good they are and will be next year.
At least Gard had a lot of class at the end congratulating ND players at midcourt, unlike BO.....

Congrats to Wisconsin on an incredible Cinderella season to the sweet sixteen. In all honesty, that team had no business being in the tournament. They beat up on a weak big ten who most likely will have zero teams in the elite eight. UW might have been the worst sweet sixteen team I've ever seen.

Great. Thankfully Bucky is out. Now, F ND.

They deserved to be in the tournament.  They were a bonehead play away from being in the Elite 8.  They got their act together after a tough start when Valentino was messing around on them.   Experienced team.

This was a down year for the Big Ten because the bottom teams weren't great, but the top teams were still pretty good and Wisconsin managed to knock off some of the better teams.

I got the results I wanted but I will admit that I couldn't really "root" for ND. I just couldn't do it.

But I was happy to see Bucky choke like dogs.

Eh I think the Big Ten was down overall, nothing special at the top this year besides MSU.

I didn't want to watch the game, but when I flipped to it I found myself rooting against Bucky more than I was rooting against ND.    I felt unclean.

I think Legs owes us all a beer for starting this thread. The mental anguish is definitely compensable.

Ha - same here!  I mostly watched the other game, especially when I saw Bucky was ahead.  I'd flip back when I saw ND had made a run, and then watched the last couple of minutes.  At the end, I was more happy to see that Bucky had choked than that ND made good plays.

ZiggysFryBoy

Any Jesuits on Scoop, maybe give us all absolution for cheering for ND?

All is right with the world when both Wisconsin and Tanned Tommy crash and burn within minutes of each other.

I love Jim Harbaugh but seeing him in an IU shirt cheapens him in my estimation.

I wonder how many of you that cannot stand Notre Dame are from the Chicago area? I do not run into many Notre Dame grads in Sheboygan and the few I do do meet do not follow them in basketball.

Was quite happy to see ND win last night.
