Is Booing Poor Play from Your College Team Appropriate?

Yes
No

Save it for Jim Burr.

Technically, that's not booing.  It's the sound of him being haunted by a thousand phantom calls.

Personally, I've never booed at a sporting event and I've never believed in booing simply because of poor play. If players aren't giving effort or they engaged in some sort of "sportsmanship violation," I'd have no problem with fans booing. Booing because you think the players should be better is wrong and a sign of entitlement.

Skatastrophy

I only boo during the halftime show.

Let's think about the environment here folks:

Weren't there only about 3000 fans there to witness the debacle?  A Saturday game, of which, I'm sure many students were getting wasted.  Those who are younger are more prone to show emotion during games.  Had there been a 3/4 full Bradley Center, the boos would have been muffled a bit by the more educated fans.  Blame it on the students who I'm sure most of, have low basketball IQ's.  They're the ones who expect the drunk fueled high of winning.  When you take away that stimulus, the horde revolts, especially after high expectations with a prominent, new, head coach.

Of course, isn't it ironic ....... student booing student.
what if they had high basketball IQs and still booed?

I don't boo, its a waste of time to watch a bad team go down, I just leave

I'll follow up my first post. I cannot ever remember booing a Marquette team. I do occasionally boo the Chicago Bears (easy enough to do, especially since I am a Packer fan), but college athletes, generally not. The only exception is bad temperment, usually a technical foul or something. But even then, you have to remember these are 18-to-22-year-old kids with 18-to-22-year-old kid dispositions.

If you don't want mistakes and youthful oversights, college sports is not for you!

Poor results, no booing. Lack of effort, go for it.

Booing Crean and Buzz during the intro is totally fine too.

Neither are in the intro video and furthermore most MU undergrads were between 12-16 years old when Crean was a coach. Unless you're some shitsipper on this board that can't get over a coach leaving, no one should boo him
