So the fact that we are currently ranked by experts as the 4th best conference this season means nothing?

The fact that the BEast is 5-5 this year against the B1G, supposedly the best conference in basketball means nothing?

The fact that the BEast has 14 2014 top 100 players signed for next season, tied for 2nd most of any conference (ACC has 20 with 7 of them going to Duke/UNC. SEC also has 14 with 4 of them going to Kentucky) despite only having 10 teams means nothing?

Is it a step down from the old BEast? Absolutely. But you are making it sound like we joined CUSA or something. Plus, this conference comes with every single game being on national television and getting three times the $$$ we used to. As a fan, I would rather be in the old BEast, but the program is in a much better spot. Unfortunately, this is one of those situations where we can't have our cake and eat it too.

The other part of all the "this conference sucks" talk...what was the alternative.  The old BE was not staying together, Pitt, Louisville, Syracuse all left on their own.  Unless of course we are advocating some sort of conference held together by Jack Bauer...then I'm totally one of those this conference sucks folks.

About as much as yours has. Everybody here in the beginning of the season expected big things for MU. That should be surprising. It is to me.

At least we can agree that your sarcastic shots at the team's performance and those that still believe they can turn it around contributes little to nothing for the board.  Must feel good to waste all that free time. 

Marquette's play the entire season has been surprising.  There is nothing surprising about the fact we're not projected to be in the tournament given our play.

Who the F cares about the NCAA tourney this year?? I for one will not be watching it. Can't remember the last time I didn't take off work to watch games, but I couldn't care less about it this year. MU's season has left me so bitter and pissed off, not to mention them being in this crap conference, it's really ruined college hoops for me. You all enjoy watching the tourney. Whatever floats your boat.

you don't want to skip work, drink all day, eat wings and curds, then cap it off at the strip club?  And then do it again on Friday?
