I wouldn't want either Griffin or Howard on my team. If you look at Griffin's numbers you will see that he as gotten worse every season he has been in the NBA.  Howard's numbers also have declined every season since he went to the Finals.  If I was forced to choose one, I would pick howard because of his ability to anchor a defense.  Griffin is a special athlete, but that is about it... unless he learns an ofensive move other than a dunk, he will never life up to what was expected of him after his rookie year.

Rivers getting killed out here in Boston.   After the C's owners made him the highest paid coach in the game 2 years ago,  with an aging roster, both sides agreed he would be here for the long haul,  and help them rebuild.

Simmons intimidated that Rivers told the clips not to trade Bledsoe as a part of his deal,  he wanted him as a trade asset.   This won't end well for Rivers or the Celtics.   Rivers is leaning toward walking away, and taking a 6 million paycut as tv money is only around a mil.

I know Gruden was traded by Oakland to TB for picks and Guillen was traded to Miami. Not sure if it has happened in the NBA though.

This really aren't trades from a legal standpoint.  They may be providing compensation for hiring away a coach, but the contract isn't transferred from one team to another.

Herm Edwards was also traded from the Jets to the Chiefs, I think for a 4th round pick

Coaches cannot be traded in the NBA.

Not anymore, has been allowed in the past under different CBAs.
