Yeah, you're wrong.

And people here think MU is lucky to win any game at all.  So that doesn't matter.  Not sure how message board opinions add credibility to anything.

Ok well, you beat UL yes.  They also beat you.  Then they beat you down.  Really badly.  If you can't admit they are better, you are hopeless and there is no sense continuing a conversation with you.

Also you shouldn't text and drive, it is dangerous dude.  The basketball world can't afford to lose your insights.

Did you watch the Louisville game where they "beat us down"? Do you know what the score was with 13 minutes remaining?

So Syracuse must have just fallen into a mini slump, huh? They got their brains beat in by a far superior team.

So let me guess. The far superior team knew they were so good that they decided not to play the first 27 minutes? Oh yeah, and the full 40 mins of the first game when Cuse beat them. Is that it?

Granted this is almost as entertaining as last night's game but you are confoundingly dumb.

Yeah Cuse was up seven.  That is great and all but in 13 minutes you got outscored by 23.  In 13 minutes. Sorry but those last 13 minutes still count.  It is hard to make a credible point saying Syracuse is better because they were up 7 with 13 minutes left, and ignore those 13 minutes where they were outscored 39-16.

So I'm clear, you are using the fact that they had that lead and completely collapsed as an example of how good Syracuse is? Makes sense.

No I'm saying its silly to claim that a team got their brain bashed in when they led the majority of the game.

Buffaloboy

In 6 "halfs" against Louisvillle, Cuse was leading after 3 and Louisville was leading after 3.

They absolutely count. We lost. But it's silly to say we got our brain punched in because we played a horrible 13 minutes after a great 27 mins.

OK if it isn't getting their brain bashed in, what exactly is a 17 point loss?

They still beat you 2/3 times.  They had a better conference record.  They had a better overall record.  They had a better RPI.  There is no empirical way to say that Syracuse is better.  Clearly, Louisville is a better team.  The only way you can say Syracuse is better, is that you are a silly blind homer.

I go by head vs head. They led after 3 halfs. We led after 3 halfs.

Halves don't matter.  Games do.  They led at the end of 2 of the games.  There is your head to head.  Louisville was better.

True.

Stats don't matter either. But they are an indicator of how a team plays.

Buffaloboy

So what happened when Cuse beat Ville? Did Lville simply not feel like winning that game? How about first 27 mins of BEC? They just wanted to wait? Lol come on.

So are records.  They are also long term and much more significant than playing some good halves.

Just because Louisville is a better team doesn't mean they are incapable of losing.  Syracuse is obviously a very strong team who can beat anyone on a given night.  Just because Georgetown lost to USF, that doesn't mean USF is better.  Teams play better on some nights and worse on others.  But over the long haul, the course of the entire season, Louisville proved themselves to be better than Syracuse.  There is no way around it.  It doesn't matter that you were winning at halftime.

This is so well said.  Plus one, say, thousand....no, plus one hundred thousand.

And welcome to the board, Buffaloboy/Cuse fan, good to have you on here.  I look forward to a clean, safe, and entertaining game tomorrow night, with us winning of course, but a good game no less.  Good luck in the ACC and here's to hoping Maryland only pays $10M, ACC gets raided, Cuse relegates football to FCS, and we all meet up again in basketball heaven.
