The C7 already laughed off this notion. It was a desperation heave by the A-10 to keep us from taking their best schools. It isn't going to work.

This rumor is two days old, floated by the A-10 itself as an alternative to the C7 picking off its best members. Essentially, the A-10 said "instead of taking our best programs, why not join us?" The C7 members quickly shot down the idea, with LW leading the charge.
The fact that you used a text message floating a days-old rumor  - that already had been squashed - as a means to take shots at LW might have hurt your credibility a tad bit.
