I am pretty confident gardner plays saturday, his injury is not as serious as some of the injuries outlined here. I hate it when other people do this - but that is really all I can divulge.

Makes sense. I was sitting near the bench when he hurt it against South Dakota. It didn't look like he dislocated it then.

2.  Can we retitle this thread "most disgusting thing I have ever seen on a basketball court"?

Don't mean to brag, but I believe I would win this battle almost hands down.
BEARS STILL SUCK

Hey Vikings, I like what you've done with the basement.

"Lazar Hayward. The L stands for leader, and the W stands for winner, Lazar Hayward is a winner."

In one of my son's games a couple of years ago, he went on a fast break and got fouled from behind.  Three kids went down in a pile.  One of the kids from the other team got up and his arm had a double break.  It was nasty.  His arm looked like this ___---___
Never wrestle with a pig.  You both get dirty, and the pig likes it.

none remember that first round mu-msu tourney game when they showed the msu players arm pushed behind his elbow. That was (also)nasty.

Anyone** sorry on phone.

Everyone is different and every injury can be different.. wouldn't surprise me if Ox had a dislocation.  Maybe he and I are just a little tougher than some of you.  I flat out have a spine of steel... or titanium.
This is true.  The first time, mine went back in by itself.  I was sitting on a bench resting my arm on my leg and it just went right back in.  Was sore for a couple of weeks but that was it.  Second time, totally different story.  Joint was out for about 4-5 hours, in the end,  they had to do something that I think was called conscious sedation, where you are sedated to the point where you remain conscious, but don't remember anything until after the good stuff wears off.  Two guys with bedsheets (one wrapped around my torso, the other wrapped around my arm) pulling in opposite directions put it back in.  I don't remember a thing about it, but the MRI afterwards showed I have a torn labrum and I had some nerve damage down the back of my arm (numbness) that has mostly come back.  That was the last time I ever played competitive basketball because I can't bear to have that happen again.

In a high school game, my teammate went up for a breakaway dunk (actually he probably would have missed the dunk) and was hit from behind. Landed on his hip. Shattered his hip and his leg  came out of socket (not the technical term, but you get the point). He looked like he had two legs on one side of his body.

Did you wake up in a strange bed with dry mouth and a terrible headache? If so, I think we all experienced conscious sedation at some point in college.

I would keep Gardner out of Saturday's game.  Let him get that shoulder right.

Is Longwood seriously a college?  Sounds more like a country club to me.

.

100% true and I speak from personal experience as well.  Tony Romo actually seperated my shoulder playing basketball 6 years ago here in Dallas...it was far and away the most painful thing I've ever experienced and have  broken some bones..I went to the hospital, almost passed out, was put on morphine..and after 2 hours of screaming pain (it was a reverse shoulder dislocation where ball popped out of scoket and got pushed behind the socket..bone on bone) the orthopedic got it back in place.

Sidneote...Tony Romo is a good basketball player..we squared off about 10 different times against each other....good shot, quick feet, good strength

Noooooooowwwwww.... I understand the news reports when Romo got hurt in the 10/25 NYG MNF game. It was originally thought/rumored to be a separated shoulder,
but Romo , back then, was quoted as saying,

...." No way is this a separated shoulder. I am speaking from personal experience. I saw Ners with his separated shoulder, I accidentally caused in a pick up basketball game, six years ago; one of at least ten games we have had together. It was a horrible sight, and I'll admit it, I screamed like a little girl. This feels more like a broken collarbone, because they pounded on my shoulder pads'  breast plate to pop it back into place.  Wade  thought it was a separated shoulder, but what does he know; I think he'll be fired soon, anyway. Only guys like me and Ners have real experience with this stuff"....
Now I have the context to understand this odd Romo quote. Thanks.
lol
I disapprove of what you say, but I will defend to the death your right to say it.

Sure I would in some circumstances.  But if you gave me the option of her and a lot of other chicks, she'd be low on the list.

I won't front, when I was on business in Rhinelander and there were no grown up movies at the hotel available, and she was on the music awards, I may have looked at her while I was doing things.  But, she's not a hot chick.

That was the same night I dislocated my shoulder.

more like a knuckle.
