Maybe they'd revisit Majerus who had interest a while back. Interest seemed mutual until he said he cheated while a student at MU.

And now you would have to add to that the little hullabaloo Rick got into in St. Louis when he made a statement in favor of abortion rights and was quickly told that that wasn't an opinion that he could continue to repeat publicly as the coach at a Jesuit University.
You actually have a degree from Marquette?

No...and after reading many many psosts from people on this board that do...I have to say I'm MUCH better off, if this is the type of "intelligence" a degree from MU gets you. It sure is on full display I will say that.

No one ever said Rick was the sharpest cheese in Wisconsin.....

But, by steaming up a towel, doesn't he fit the Irish image?

The word in South Bend is that Brey will not survive this, and will be gone tomorrow...

jesmu84

hmmm.... obviously lots of conflicting things going on. just spoke with a close friend who worked for the ath. dept at ND all through his undergrad and still keeps in touch with a large majority of the full-time staff there. apparently these are only just rumors and mike brey isn't going anywhere. again, this is secondhand information, but i believe my friend for lack of a better source.

So he's gone?   ?-(  I don't get it...

Didn't Majerus snap off a burly loaf into a towel in full view while addressing his team in the locker room? This image is disturbing in too many ways to count. Still, it is a story I will tell with great relish while hoisting a few with buds. It deserves to be shared.

Majerus admitted to cheating on some tests as a student at Marquette.  That violates Notre Dame's honor code which is why he wasn't hired.

I am sure that is only part of the reason ND pulled the plug on Majerus. They had to have heard the "Wrinkle Neck Brown in a Towel" story, too. Imagine the sheer horror on their faces as that song of adventure was played in the hallowed halls of Notre Dame.
