DJO on campus
« on: April 19, 2009, 01:54:33 AM »
My roommates went out to Dogg Haus last night and saw DJO with some of the bball guys outside Murphy's. They went up to him and I think he was shocked that they recognized him. My roommate said he had seen his youtube vids and DJO responded by saying he has way better stuff than that. I think he was enjoying being a celebrity and told my friends that he wasn't a big shot and "if they ever need anything to holler at him". Don't know exactly what that means but its good he's excited about coming to MU.

HERE IS A SHOUT OUT FOR YOU!

Please deliver a "special" telegram during the next Wisconsin game to any rodent player you wish....

"SPAULDING" across forehead will do.....

For all the rodent detractor's who think partial qualifier's (DWade) and JUCO's are less valuable/worthy as a student/athlete's!  With actual more importance on "student" than "athlete"....But considering you will only be able to prove the "student" academic's in your continued diligence in the class room......A "POSTERIZATION" with a dunk or two will accomplish the "athletic" part.....

Thank you!

Is this grade school? I hope this post isn't true, but if so, it's more than a little disappointing. Would think these guys would have better sense than that; especially Jerel in that he's at a very important time in his life. A broken hand probably wouldn't go over real well right now I wouldn't think. Granted part of his strength is his toughness, but leaving that on the court is probably a bright idea. Being strong willed and confrontational in practice, with coaches at times and on the court is one thing, outside a bar pretty stupid at this point unless he was solely protecting himself, but that doesn't seem real likely.

This entire thread is the most infantile thing I have read on this board in quite some time.

One time, I was at the Dogg Haus and saw Tom Crean get beat up by a group of girls.

True story.

Not what happened at all. I was out there for all of it as well. There was a fight between some freshmen and upper classmen(some of which were friends.) Some members of the team (lazar, jerel, dwight, jimmy, djo, blackledge) just walked outside dog haus to join the other 50 people watch/cheer on the pushing and shoving match. Wasn't even that good of a fight, but was certaintly hysterical to watch.

Interesting side note.... after the fight milwaukee police showed up to tell everyone to go home. Me and my friends started walking home and lazar was right with us. Naturally we started asking him how we were going to be next year and he replied that "we are going to suck, i keep telling people we are going for last place". As he walked into humphry he shouted out across the street while holding up the "1st place" sign and shouted, "Last place!, Last Place"

He was clearly joking and we were all laughing our asses off. In lazar we trust!

Haha that's funny.  Lazar seems like a goofy guy.  I was in the Al once on the Arena floor and was walking out to take the stairs up to the lobby and he came out of what I'm guessing was the guys basketball locker room and he was literally RIGHT behind me and started singing really loud "I CAN'T FEEL MY LEGS BABY!" over and over.  I tried to hold back from laughing but I really couldn't.

I saw him outside Murphy's and I would say he's jerels height, so right in the 6'2-6'3 range

Yeah, thinking back to my night last night, I did see Jimmy Butler, Blackledge, and DJO inside of Murph's.  Some girl was getting all over on this guy standing next to Jimmy, and my buddy remarked that "I hope she knows he isn't a basketball player".

Well, I just had to look at the pic of DJO again, and it was indeed him.  Looked like he was definitely having a good visit on campus from that moment  ;)
