Willie knows ball. That second half is just going to feed his ego and will be detrimental in the long run.
Kam showed great discipline a few times after he got going in not forcing shots that he would've taken earlier. Great decisions in the second half.

Outstanding point BLWarrior. You could see that he wanted to pull the trigger early in the shot clock once he dropped 14 straight. Credit to him for not forcing

I assume Riko is mocking the crap out of Willie.
KAM is a joy to watch. He's smooth and athletic and lethal.
He is damn near unstoppable when he lets the game come to him and doesn't force the three.
Kam Jones, welcome. Your table is ready.
Like I said in the post game thread, it reminded me of DJames against Valparaiso or one of Markus' streaks.

True, true, BL. I said about 3 times to my watching group "In November, that goes up."
His not shooting on all of those occasions was correct.
On the other hand, I love his threes. When they dumped it for him and he was about 5-6' behind the arc to start the run, I thought that it was perfect for him -and it set him off. His serpentine drives to the rim are nothing we saw last year. He just took over.
18 straight points? MU record?
Tournament, yes. All time, no.
Johnny B, I am almost positive that DJames scored the final 19 against Valparaiso.
Recorded the game. Went back to re-watch Kams run. Love seeing historic moments in MU history like this.
Random question, and I apologize if it's been mentioned in past threads; but do you think in the off-season the coaches will work with him on that funky release like they did with TK this past off-season? I don't think he'd be as streaky with a release more like Jop. Just curious
Here are my Kam thoughts. Wow. Unreal. So versatile. So glad he is on our team! Go Kam and Goo Marquette!!

Unfortunately neither of you have been successful. All I have to do is remind you both of your slurp love and excuse making for Wojo, even when he was desperately flailing
But its OK now as you can cover that up by cheering on Shaka. Arrogance can always be forgiven, but often does one who has it ever loses it.

Let's get back to Kam. At the time it happened, literally that second, I stated that the Chase steal setting up Kam's 1st triple was a massive play. It turned out to be the start of the floodgates opening for Jones the Elder. What I particularly liked was he didn't force anything, scored both inside and out, had that beautiful cut and finish at the rim, and inflicted a barrage that ended all hope for the Catamounts.

One down.
Five to go.
I'm looking forward to seeing Kam gain a bit more body strength with the ability to draw fouls at the rim. His semi finger roll is sweet and we have seen it with the Giannis spin on numerous occasions. I believe he can add numerous weapons to his arsenal. His passing skills are underrated. Now, I'd like to see him take the occasional stop and pop pull-up in the lane, spin a bit less and go with FORCE to the rim, and of course master the step-back, but in due time I think he can add all of these things to his repertoire.
USA Today was impressed.
