A looper, you know, a caddy, a looper, a jock. So, I tell them I'm a pro jock, and who do you think they give me? The Dalai Lama, himself. Twelfth son of the Lama. The flowing robes, the grace, bald... striking. So, I'm on the first tee with him. I give him the driver. He hauls off and whacks one — big hitter, the Lama — long, into a ten-thousand foot crevasse, right at the base of this glacier. Do you know what the Lama says? Gunga galunga... gunga, gunga-lagunga. So we finish the eighteenth and he's gonna stiff me. And I say, "Hey, Lama, hey, how about a little something, you know, for the effort, you know." And he says, "Oh, uh, there won't be any money, but when you die, on your deathbed, you will receive total consciousness." So I got that goin' for me, which is nice.
Bravo.

Nobody is eating KFC in Japan cause it is fancy. There are a million American brands that do great elsewhere cause they are American. Stella is marketed as some elite brand with a fancy glass and posh imagery. Its not cause its exotic, its cause AB cashes in on ignorant Americans who hear a brand they've never heard of and assume its fancy and high quality.
But hey, if you think the Asian markets view towards Western products and brands are the same as bro drinking culture in the US, go ahead.

You're wrong about this.
https://www.cnn.com/travel/article/kfc-christmas-tradition-japan/index.html
A typical KFC Christmas ad from the 1970s or '80s likely would have showcased a family enjoying a luscious feast of golden, fried chicken as the song "My Old Kentucky Home" played in the background.
"For anybody who grew up in America, you immediately knew that 'My Old Kentucky Home' is not a Christmas carol," says Bestor.
"But [these were] really beautifully done campaigns that linked fried chicken with Christmas as well as Christmas with the idea of consuming luxurious foods. Obviously, the idea took hold."

I'm NOT saying Tiger is faking being in some pain. But pain often seems worse for an athlete who's not playing well, regardless of sport.
Tiger 🐯 appears to be miles away from legitimately being able to contend for anything. Which isn't all that surprising given that he's a relatively old man coming off a severe injury and trying to hang with younger, more talented golfers.

Well, he's still the person Tiger Woods. He is no longer the golfer Tiger Woods, not the one we remember anyway.
But again, it's not like he's a bum. He showed in the first round at Augusta last month that he can put together a very good round, so I'm not dismissing the possibility of him putting together 4 very good rounds. But to expect it would be silly (and I know you don't expect it). Even wishing for it is pretty silly, but we fans can be that way no matter who we're rooting for.

That's who Tiger is right now. Not too many great athletes hang 'em up in their prime. The point is he still wants to compete and fans still want to watch him play. Trying to bounce back from a horrific injury at his age is a compelling story imo even if/when he falls short.

Rory just scrambled and made a great birdie putt at 4
Rory 4 straight birdies....
This Zalatoris penalty confab is pretty ridiculous.
yeah, i didn't understand that whole routine did he have an option to go back to the next closest piece of grass no closer to the pin?

No one seems to br challenging Mito at all. He should stroll to a victory unless he has meltdowns on two holes.
These guys are trying real hard to hand it to Pereira. But will he be willing and able to take it?

Are you watching? Haha
Everyone Mito included are playing inconsistent as heck.
If no one has a consistent back 9, he obviously wins.
But otherwise this thing is pretty wide open and will come down to the first guy to string a couple of birds together and eliminate bogies.
The leaderboard has had a lot of ebb and flow so far.

I thought Z was down 3 not 2. Maybe the winning score will be -6?

That was a nervous little pitch. Hopefully another bogey opens things up for the field.
Huge putt from Young on 9. I guess I was wrong.
Enormous putt for Thomas. If he can somehow get it to -6 or -7, he could win it.
Mito looks a bit unhinged. Things just got a lot more interesting.
JT making his move.
Huge putt by JT
Hes alive.
On the ropes, but alive.

Mito apparently read this thread. He's lost it.
This weekend is exactly why is said Spieth just needed to have a solid couple rounds to get back into contention. Even with a couple goudy scores the first two days.
He never did.
Didn't expect him to save that par. Wow. I think -6 wins it.

Huge par.
Think you gotta just enjoy the ride and not try to predict which guy has got it and not got it.
Everyone is playing with fire the last 1.5 days.

Eventually it will be over. :)
JT has some momentum . Others are fading ....
Pereira still on edge but really getting some huge par saves.
Meanwhile Zalatoris and Fitz putting themselves in big trouble.
Damn JT didnt read that putt well.
Needed that par 5 birdie.
Hes really gonna have to be flawless on the last 5.
Bad miss by Thomas.
Fitzpatrick is done.
Think Zalatoris needs to make it 4/4 on biriding this par 5.
He needs to get a momentum swing back.

Really tough Par 3's on this course. That was a big miss for JT.

Maybe, like all the players, he's intimidated by Tiger.
Well, looking like the leading scoring going to drop down to -6 in a moment.
Probably a better chance that he doubles than saves par on this one.

Nope, heck of a shot. Got a solid putt to save par again.
Wow what a brutal shot by Zalatoris. Play that smart and get the biride.
No clue wtf that was.
Z and Young both just miss big birdies on 13.
Buckle up folks
Another JT miss read
Gahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Bones has seen plenty of missed putts like that on major Sundays. At least JT pays him on time
Door open for JT and Z, but they refuse to step inside.
And now Mito is back ahead by 2 after a brilliant approach to set up bird at 13.
Mito gets seperation back. Then immediately bogeys again ha
War of attrition.
JT is a disgrace perhaps
JT alive.

Young dead.
Maybe Zalatoris too, cuz he can't putt.
This is like watching the Big Ten in the NCAA Tournament
I am begging JT to make this
Ughh. I thought JT was gonna sink that.
Dammit, he had his chances.
Now he has to hope Mito goes +1 on the last 2

For a couple minutes, it looked like he'd leave with a 1-stroke lead. But he misses on 18 a moment after Mito saves par on 16 ... that could be the sequence that wins this for Mito.

Don't forget about Zalatoris.
Zalatoris has one last shot. Can he finally make a putt?
This would eliminate JT
Woooooops!!
van de Velde!
Mito just pulled a Van De Velde
What a putt by Zalatoris!
Chile should revoke Mito's citizenship after that drive
That swing seriously looked Ike mine. Too fast. Lost balance. Wild. And ultimately wet!
And like all my drives...absolutely unnecessary.

If theres one thing weve learned today, its dont assume anything is a done deal.
But gotta think JT is the heavy favorite in a playoff
Uhhh.... yikes!!
Welp. That's an all-time gag
Hahahahaha I could've put that closer.
Gack!!!
It's an aggregate?
I would think JT has the advantage.
Bones can win a major sans Phil.

Best player of the week, too
JT fought hard all day, made it to the playoff and experience took over .
Glad the PGA at Southern Hills for a quality winner . Was a tough course.
That was fun.
For pure sports drama, not much beats the Sunday of a closely contested golf major.
He needed help, but still a well-deserved win for Thomas.
Hats off to Mito for doing the CBS interview. I'd have been in the clubhouse breaking stuff so I guess he's better than me

The eventual PGA Championship totally shanked his tee shot on No. 5:

Absolutely! I shank shots like that all the time. I'm almost a lock to win the tournament next year!
I told my 15 year old about that. I told him that golf was all about managing your misses.
He said, "Oh, like marriage, then."
So we had a talk about comedic timing and knowing your audience. Somehow, I got in trouble too.
