A 100 point win would be boring. A 1 point win would be very exciting. We need to show that we can compete, so even a close loss might impress the recruits.

Actually there were a number of indications Henry was going to come here, such as crystal ball predictions and the like. Nothing similar for Central Arkansas.

JJJJ thought you were unfairly grouping Marquette and Central Arkansas as lesser teams than UK and MSU. I think he just wanted to see a clear delineation between MU and Central Arkansas, which was not provided. But you came back and said that's not what you were doing, only pointing out that MSU and UK fans would think that about any other school where a recruit's brother attended. Then I challenged that assertion by inserting Duke and UNC rather than Marquette and Central Arkansas and you validated my point that the school itself would make a difference in whether fans of the other schools (UK and MSU) took their recruitment of that player seriously, not merely whether his brother went there. At the end of the day, you were grouping MU and Central Arkansas together as lesser teams than MSU and UK (not incorrect), which JJJJJ took umbrage with given the vastness of the group (MU and a girls high school team would be in the same group).

Note: I changed the title of my original post to include Tyler.
My prediction is that Joey WILL sign--it's the same history as the Plumlee's at Duke. The Ellensons have proven this and so will the Hausers. And an added bonus for MU--Henry as Mr. Basketball 2015 (shared) and Sam as Mr. Basketball 2016 (IMO).

It was pretty good at times. Pretty loud early on. Not the best I've ever seen in the BC but not the worst.
Didn't see the Hausers but Herro and Howard (I believe they were sitting in the same row) seemed interested and engaged in the game and what was going on around them. Very different than Tarik Black when he was at MU Madness. He looked like he couldn't have had a worse time if he tried.

Would agree but one of the better atmospheres for a day game I have seen.
Hausers were behind the MU bench with herro I believe. Think MU has a real good shot at Joey, herro, and Howard.

Best crowd in awhile. Even when trailing by double digits, just about any basket got them back in it. If not for Nova's incredible ability to always hit a clutch shot when we trimmed it to single digits, it would have rivaled the best BC crowds. Still an impressive, engaged crowd. Reminded me of how much fun an excited fanbase can be.

Uhh, buddy, there were ver few empty seats. But they were sold and you don't get that.
Don't even own a Tweeter but went over to Howard's Tweeter to see if he had anything else to say about his visit and decided to see if Herro or the Hausers said anything while at it. Noticed Sam Hauser recently started following (if that's what you do on the Twitter) Howard and retwitted his twit about his visit to MU.
Also, having watched Herro's highlights and heard he's a fan of UW I worried he might be a fan of Koenig. Sure enough, there's a big picture of Herro with Koenig on his visit to UW. I sincerely hope the kid is shooting for higher than playing 4th fiddle on his college team only to be exposed once the top 2 are gone.

What makes me envious is the fact that Happ will probably be a four year player, while Ellenson will most likely be a one & done. The Badger winning will continue without Hayes and Koenig. They have three more years of Happ, who already is better than Fischer. Three more years of Iliikaninen, Iverson and Thomas and 4 more years of Pritzel. They also have Andy Van Vliet, who I think has 3 more years after having to sit this year.

The post was not about who was going to be better. It was about the statement that the Badgers would not be any good after Koenig and Hayes leave. That statement was not even close to being true.

They will be very good next year. Top two or three in B10. And I hope they continue to be very good. That means we will have great quality wins for our resume.

It sure does, and that's great. But I can't bring myself to cheer for them regardless of the circumstance. So if I have my choice of UW going 30-1 (loss to MU) or 0-31 (still lost to MU) I'll choose the latter. I know not everyone will agree, but that's just me.
So Markus, Sam, Joey, and Tyler were there Saturday. Neat.

I always root against the Badgers and was very happy when they were 9-9 and looking like they were going to have a losing season. I want them to suck, but I can see how well they are playing now. Remember UW has a built in recruiting advantage, since about everyone is a UW football fan. I root against them in football too. Kobe King, or whatever his name was, has already picked the Badgers over MU. Maybe Wojo wins the majority of recruiting battles for WI players willing to consider both schools, but there are some that will be UW no matter what and not really consider MU.
Marquette usually has much superior talent than the rodents. The latter is always coached up and plays better as the season progresses.

That's not at all true, especially the last 3-4 years. Bucky had two top-20 picks in the NBA last year, for pete's sake, and another guy who could sneak into the first round this year.
Tried to read through this and have a few thoughts:
I think Trevor Anderson wins WI Mr. Basketball this year, not Hauser. Anderson is having an insane year.
Herro loves Wojo. Talked to his dad before the MU offer but after the WI offer, and he said they were excited about MU and waiting on the offer from Wojo. Said him an Ty both love Wojo. Poole deciding on Michigan (his dream school), made the Herro offer open up since both are similar.
For those looking at these local kids and thinking they are leaning one way or the other because of Tweets, Instagrams, photo ops or whatever, you need to realize these kids are loving the free tickets and recruiting. They get to go to games for free in great seats, what's not to like?
The Koenig Insta pic with Herro does have some history. Herro plays for WI Playground Warriors (not Ike Wilson's Playground Elite). Koenig was point for Playground Warriors and played up with Dekker and Tokoto. Ritchie David recruited all of these guys for Playground Warriors. He also recruited Kobe King. Herro's little brother and Tokoto's little brother played AAU together. Point is, they all know each other well.
Here's why I don't think it matters. I think the recruiting of Herro is wide open and dependent upon the other dominoes falling. Herro left a pretty good AAU team a few years ago to team up with McCabe again after that experiment had failed earlier. Herro teamed with McCabe for one reason -- to gain from his exposure (or overexposure) -- that is a fact. I think Herro has now leapfrogged him. The same thing will happen with his recruiting -- he wants a great true point and a great 4 and 5. All these alpha dogs want to know who will be around them to make them look better. Joey Hauser and Herro have never played together. I think if Hauser were to commit, that would be a really good thing.
As I've said before, Herro just wins. His dad may rub people the wrong way, but he is a straight shooter and I appreciate that. I would love rooting for both Hauser and Herro. They are the two best in the WI class and I don't think it is even close.
