Marquette has offered 2015 SG Matt McQuaid of Team Texas Elite (TX).
Visiting SMU today.
I'm surprised we could even attempt to recruit in Texas anymore.
2015 shooting guard Matt McQuaid received an offer from Marquette today. Ranked 42nd in 2015 class.

Jimmy B is MU's Black Cowboy, McQuaid will be our White Cowboy.
Creighton is really high on him, he visited on senior night for Doug McDermott. States Creighton, Stanford and Texas recruiting him the hardest. The team to watch out for is Michigan. Has relatives and dad was from the area. Beilein hasn't offered yet.

#44 Austin *Grandstaff* - you'll see #45 right behind him is Matt McQuaid. They played travel ball together and I like McQuaid just as much if not more. Good size, excellent 3-point stroke but has an edge / toughness / competitive streak in him.

Grandstaff has opened it back up. Competition for his services will be stiffer than ever.
PS- really like his TT teammate Matt McQuaid as well. Both traditionals who can shoot, but also do a lot more.
Marquette. Embrace the T R A D I T I O N (A L S).
Highly traditional.

Translucent? Albino? Or just pasty?
I think it's very valuable to label everybody.
I hear Diamond Stone is highly untraditional.
Looks like shooting is back on the recruiting checklist....

We'd better! Aside from Stone and the Chief, that's all Wojo has offered!

He re-offered Jarvis Johnson as well

I think he will be offering more non-traditional soon. Maybe he wants a balance. :)

Would personally prefer his teammate Austin Grandstaff. Similar shooting ability with much better speed, athleticism, and basketball IQ. McQuaid has better size though

I beg to differ. Grandstaff is much larger and can really pound it inside.

Heard he's really strong when he gets inside but should be recognized for his soft touch when needed.

Let's face it: Grandstaff likes to play around the hole. He's a man who likes to score and really hates coming from behind.

There's a great SNL skit with the late great Phil Hartman as Bill Clinton running into a McDonald's. There's a line in the skit what later seems prophetic, with something along the lines "There's going to be a lot interesting things going on in the White House."
I swear those were the shorts I gave to Goodwill back in '77.

It's amazing how Larry Brown just comeback into the game and pick up top talent in a basketball program that has been without much of pulse for years.

How's the SMU cheerleading squad faring with the Brownster in town?

Those days are over .... - which brings up an interesting point. With social media being more prevalent in everyday life, are social lives more policed now? Are the days of drunken debauchery in sports on the decline for good? Can a coach even attempt to live a life like Brown used to be known for back when he was coaching Kansas?

Well, if those halcyon days are gone then I should shelve my interest in coaching at the Division I intercollegiate level. Men of power have the vigorous appetites to match and if scrutiny prevents us from indulging those earthy hungers then what is the point of having puissant energies? No thank you, then.
