Edit... it's up with Gus Johnson!

working fine for me
Gus Johnson! UD Jesuit alum!
they were delaying for NY. Not a streaming problem.
Gus Johnson! Father Pilarz! Exclamation Points!!!
ha they introduced Pilarz as the Xavier president... probably tough to get the priests straight
funny seeing all the priests/presidents announced
Pilarz works for Xavier now?
Streaming is working well for me.
We have our answer as to use of the BE logo and name.
No "new" qualification and no new logo.

I don;t think that proves anything. I would look for a new logo before the start of Fall athletics if they did it.

Doubt it. They got other things to take care right now that are more important than a logo.

ha nice Jesuit pope joke
The Butler as the "token non-Jesuit" joke was pretty funny.
lots of talk about these 10 teams being the same teams that will be here for 12 years.... not definitive enough to say no expansion but wonder if thats a credible option at all
Anyone else have the streaming cut out on them?

I thoroughly enjoyed the stability bit there.
LW's huge shiny head really stands out in those crowd shots
MSG "next year" - hopefully the MSG guy can elaborate how long they have signed us up for.
I love that they have Gus Johnson there to do the introductions. Nothing says "we are serious about basketball" like Gus Johnson emphatically yelling at you about basketball.

rowing, lacrosse and field hockey - likely means Uconn, UCinci, and Temple will be associate members for those sports only. Smart move for all schools. They all want to be associated with Big East.
I just peed a little listening to Gus Johnson on that promo.
Buzz and Vander getting some video love.

Yeah, that caught my attention as well.
Listening to them explain the timeline behind the decision to say "Go **** yourself, LEAST" is absolutely fascinating, especially how the bylaws were written around a time like this.
Anyone going to ask about streaming?
Edit: "Fox Sports Go" just mentioned. As well as possible "Conference affiliated digital avenues".
Adam Zagoria has access to the press release and tweeted the following.
QuoteNew Big East officially announces additions of Butler, Creighton and Xavier. Tourney will stay at MSG thru 2025-26

"Working with conference to create a digital platform..." Probably the best answer one could hope for at this point.
From press release...
The Big East Tournament will continue to call Madison Square Garden its home, and the new conference will assume the existing long-term lease agreement that extends well into the future.
"We are thrilled that MSG will continue to serve as the official home of the Big East tournament. In addition to being the center of the basketball universe, the Garden has served as a thrilling backdrop for so many of the Big East's most enduring memories and greatest individual achievements," said Father Harrington of St. John's University.
"Madison Square Garden has been the home of the Big East Tournament for 31 years and looks forward to continuing to host this premier college basketball event," said Joel Fisher, Executive Vice President, Sports and Arena Transformation, Madison Square Garden.
Georgetown AD: "F*** football" (i'm paraphrasing)
I really like their response about expansion. So much could happen in the next 12-18 months. Once the dust settles some, then go and get to 12.
On expanding from 10- "We're waiting for the ACC to blow up."

I got the vibe towards the end that the reborn BEAST feels very confident that the model where basketball programs sacrifice their needs to give football what they need is an unsustainable model and that musical chairs and conference chaos will continue all around the BEAST in those conferences that try to cater to schools that are basketball-centric and those that are football-driven. The next few years will be entertaining. We'll just sit back and enjoy the stability that taking our ball and going on our own has brought us.
MU also just sent out an announcement of the new Big East.

None of the "Old" Big East teams have lacrosse unless they are talking about Rutgers. I would assume Cuse and ND are going to be in the ACC for lacrosse. It will be interesting because I think they need 6 teams for a NCAA automatic bid. Right now they are 1 short.
