In warm ups. Appears that there is no intentions of him playing. Sure looks like he's hurt.
Nice start, but two Lockett turnovers have hurt. Anderson looks like a man so far.
make that 3 turnovers for Lockett in six minutes.
Their center is MASSIVE. He makes D.G. actually look small.
WOW #35 makes OX look tiny!!
I never thought I would say that DG is little.
D-Will with a 3 WOW

7ft 3, 350 lbs. Good grief is that guy big. Can only play a minute or so at a time.
These idiotic turnovers need to stop. Especially before Louisville.
Jesus! What is with these moronic passes?!
With the way we're turning it over I wonder if we'll even get to attempt a field goal against Louisville.
Two really uncharacteristic turnovers from D. Wilson. For some reason this zone is bothering them.
I really hope this isn't that game each year where every shot the other team throws up falls.
Still no Mayo. What's the word?
Pull DWill.
He's trying to force things.
Junior takes it STRONG to the rim. DWil doesn't. Not yet at least.
First Lockett, now J.Wilson just playing terrible right now. Wilson has two stupid fouls and turnovers.
Lockett's three turnovers lead to five points by USF.
10 to 3 start, then all USF.
Playing batman theme. Funny.
Why doesn't Jamil drive to the hoop
This could be a trap game if we can't solve that horrid zone.
Unbelievable, since it's a home game!
This is the first time I've ever seen any player make Gardner look small but USF center is huge.
Mayo in
Offensive rebound? What's that?
love blue's energy! wish others would follow
Will Marquette ever play a solid first half this season?
LeDay is LeGit even with a few miscues.....USF couple nice frosh for future
MU shooting 62%, but has 9 turnovers
USF shooting 4 for 5 from three and has 8 turnovers. Difference so far.
Ellis with a really good comment on Blue after he hit the pullup J - that would have been a play last year where he put his head down and drove right into traffic, this year he pulls up for the jumper.
Man, Juan is good...the replays they just showed--I think he had forced 4 of the 5 USF turnovers. No wonder he is starting.

Anderson and Blue are night and day from where they were last year, and Taylor is already starting to look like he gets it. This team is going to be REALLY good next year. For now I'm just enjoying watching all the players improve.
MU is 1 for 8 from threes.
Have 9 turnovers, but shooting close to 60% from the field.
Lockett and J. Wilson have no points and four turnovers between them. D. Wilson has two turnovers.
Anderson played great, but that was one weird turnover he had, just jumped up with the ball in his hand.
Buzz will ream them a new one and should be a better second half.
Love the way Steve comes in and looks to score. Nice at the 17 feet.

I wish MU would cut down on their 3 attempts because they are not that great a 3 point shooting team. Hopefully they will be more judicious with it in the 2nd half.
Told my son tonight that ST will be beast in years to come. With a few years of strength and conditioning with his frame and skills he will be formidable on the court.
I would love to se a back door play for a alley-oop to J. Wilson to get him into the game to start the second half.

Easy does it now.
Look at his height & frame then think about what two to three more years with Todd Smith will do. Then look at his natural rebounding instincts, soft touch around the rim, and outside shooting ability. Then look at how the stretch 4 has been featured in Buzz's offense with players like Hayward & Crowder. If I had to pick one player from this squad to make the league, I'm putting my money on Taylor.

You said you would be SHOCKED if he didn't make it to the league. Plenty of guys never make it to the league, doesn't mean they are not gonna be great college players. Look at DJ and McNeal. I think we should temper our enthusiasm and predictions until he does more than being a spark off the bench. If I would have to guess, I would think most players who make it to the league have a bigger impact their freshman year.
Good start to 2nd half so far.
Jr to Blue.....schwinnnggg
Crowd sounds really weak after a big alleyoop. Everyone still out on the concourse from halftime?
Otule has channeled his inner Mutombo.
Breaking News: jump Around guy not jumping around
Nice to hear from Otule again
Someone needs to tell Lockett that the only shots he is allowed to take are tip-ins. Love his energy without the ball--cringe every time he takes a jumper.
Big Chris starting to show the shot block mobility from last year. Would be huge if that is back.

That's fine if you don't agree with me. I'll just point to Butler & Hayward's first years in the program. His intra-season first year development reminds me of Butler's when the light bulb finally went on. He's got all the tools and he'll be able to showcase them fully in our system.

Wow--guy got laid out by Gardner...Hope he is ok.
Tough call on Gardner. Can't fight for a held ball anymore these days.
Stupid play from gardner. He'll be likely to not be ejected.
flagrant 2 waaaaay excessive there. I'm sorry but that does not deserve an ejection
Does this hurt Davante's chances to play at Louisville?
Wasn't he draped all over DG's back? Looked like he was trying to shake him off
Flagrant two is BOGUS.
Love Gardner, but he should not be shooting three pointers with MU on a roll. Thats his second outside shot tonight and has missed both.
Well, he just got ejected for the elbow. Too bad, maybe a flagrant one.
Keep it going Chris.

He violently swung his elbow at the head of another player after the jump ball was called (dead ball), absolutely right call there.
Ox will learn from that one, he did hit him on initial elbow swing but then the guy flopped to ground making it look alot worse
Flagrant 1 if that. That really sucks

The rule is designed to prevent head trauma and injuries. It is the right call per the letter of the law, if you ask me.

Flagrant foul calls also come with a 10 minute delay. Not sure why officials can't spend 15 seconds looking at a monitor and make a call.
Nah definitely flagrant two...sucks but good to learn from.

Fair point, just a simple disagreement. Just judging that as a spectator I don't think a player should be kicked out. Ron artest has done worse(elbow to james harden)

Early call. Blue SOTG.
Not a hard one tonight.
Broke a Doak says lots of variables for league office to look at. Not an automatic suspension.

That could be old. The flagrant two foul was reserved for punches and clear unsportsmanlike conduct before 2-3 years ago when they redefined flagrant 1 as ANY contact with the elbow, and flagrant 2 as excessive swinging. 1-game suspensions are still reserved for exseive instances, not including elbow contact.
Quote from: Norm on January 28, 2013, 09:47:45 PM

Blue is toying with them. Scores at will.
USF hitting some three bombs at the buzzer. I have counted three so far.
USF is 8 for 14 from three, MU is 2 for 14.
