I'll only comment on the two posters you actually quoted and leave your heresay statements out. I encourage everyone on the board to read Dr Blackheart's and AtWiz's posts and determine whether these are examples of "wild stories about Pilarz and Williams wanting to destroy the program". Any fair read dictates that such an interpretation is possible only in a very small and biased mind. And even that's a stretch.

Ners, Lenny and a few others have a thing for Buzz and they don't like LW because he said something about Buzz they took offense to in the newspaper. That's what this is all coming down to. Fortunately we have some closure on the source of this.

All of this figuring out who CBB/Hoop is will really ease the mind of Kendrick during the recruiting process. I heard that Chew had to spend the entire text conversation on the first night of recruiting easing his mind that this would be resolved before he committed. Well, it happened Nunn too soon.
I expect him to commit early next week based on this development.

First, you are always welcome to have a beer at my house. I had to chuckle reading PRN and Warthog's drivel (where is Warthog by the way) about how odd it is to have a beer with someone they have never met. Those guys must not be very social or aren't in the business world. I've had plenty a beer with people here that I had never met...I even offered not long ago to you, Rocky, to have one with you next time I'm in Denver...even though we have never met. I hope we can still do that. What would be really cool is you and I having a beer while you bring a laptop and maybe we can have Hoopaloop post at the same time. Deal? MU Viking has been to my old home for a beer as have others on this very board, even though I had never met them prior. I said here 5 years ago that I was not happy that we settled on Buzz Williams, thought we could do better and Buzz wasn't going anywhere..could have waited...but I also said he's the hire and I hope it works out. I'm thrilled it has. He's a joy to watch coach and I hope he is here for years to come. Still would like less JUCOs because they are only here 2 or 3 years, but that is a philosophical point of view. Now to the matter at hand and let me say thank you for letting me respond. Of course CBB is Chicos....I used the initials on purpose. I have nothing to hide and never have with my usernames here. Chicosbailbonds, Chicozbailbonds and CBB....that's it. Straight forward as it gets. The only reason I had to register the other two names (CBB and Chicozbaildbonds) was because the original one was banned. I registered yesterday because that thread was fantastic. The ners beatdown and watching him dig deeper and deeper was something to behold...good to see long after I'm gone he's still who he is. If I wanted to hide, Rocky, I would have registered under something different, but what's the point...I have nothing to hide. I almost registered last week when I saw Lenny's Peter Dinklage comment (a thread about Buzz and yet Lenny still commenting about me a year later that has nothing to do with Buzz...obsession). The irony is that I run the HBO business among other things here and have great respect for Peter. Fantastic guy, great actor, and can't wait to see him again. I know Tap was trying to be funny, but he should look in the mirror if he's trying to rip on someone for their appearance and behold the striking (almost identical) similarity between him and a certain person on trial in Pennslyvania right now. If that story hits the big screen, they've got the absolute look-a-like to play the role. I would recommend strongly that he stays away from that state for years to come...Friendly piece of advice.

I always knew those were false claims and your software seems to confirm that. I have registered 3 times...period....Chicos, Chicoz, and CBB...not 100's of times like Prn, Lenny and others stated. But I'll bet a search on some other names here would open some eyes about who truly does have multiple usernames active at the same time. I never have....when one got banned I created another very similar name, never two at the same time.
Which now begs the next next next question....I was banned sometime in May or June of last year, but Hoopaloop came a number of months prior to that. Sorry, not the same person unless my wife and I spoke to fictional people and I gave free Disney passes out to ghosts. In July and August I was in the hospital with my little girl recovering....there was no way I'm going to be on MU Scoop yet if I see Hoopaloop's posting history he sure was. Or this reality...I literally could not even get onto Scoop until November or December of last year until Hilltopper showed me how to change my settings on my browser to get in...I was blocked completely with the "you are banned message"...yet all along Hoopaloop seemed to be posting here without any issue during those months. How is this possible?
In March of this year I was actually at the MU-Florida game (last minute affair for me) with other MU fans (some that post here on Scoop) and they can verify the only time I was ever on my phone was to check in on Facebook and take a few pictures early in the game and at the end (the scoreboard).....yet I read here the next day or two that Hoopaloop was on all night during the game here, including the chat session. Impossible for me to do that. Literally, impossible and the people I were with can vouch for that. Incidentally, I have used chat before on Scoop...Hilltopper has allowed me in and I have to give him a codeword because so many people were logging in pretending to be me and he's had to kick them out. So I would log in, give him my code and he knew it was me and no kick. There were times Hoopaloop was on at the same time I was....how is that possible? Furthermore, your chat requires Adobe Flash which iPhones do not support...I have an iPhone... I was at the game in Arizona with my iPhone...chat impossible...Hoopaloop on chat and on Scoop while I'm in my seats watching the game with MU alumni....literally impossible to be the same person.
Rocky, now I have a question for you.....your note says "possible range". What exactly does that mean? A lot of things are possible, sounds like it's taking a guess and not very definitive. Does that mean when he was here if he tapped into my network it shows up one time as the same IP but never again? Does that mean if I ever logged into the Bradley Center with my 3G over the last 4 or 5 years when I've gone to a few games and he (or anyone else) logs into the Bradley Center in the last few years that they overlap? Does that mean if I log into the free wi-fiI at O-Hare, or MKE, or LAX, or any other airport over the years and your software captures Chicosbailbonds and associates that username with an IP but someone else goes through any of those airports and logs in on the same network it associates the IPs to them also? I don't know the answer.... I'm merely asking because I don't know. If I were at LAX logging in and ners was at LAX at a different time (different month, different time, different year), would the same IP association occur? Again, I don't know...that's why I am asking. Or is that why your software says "

Warthog hasn't been banned in the past year, and to finally answer some questions, neither was willie warrior. Sometimes people (especially warthog randomly) seem to go on sabbatical...moreso when Marquette isn't playing any bball.

I have theorized many times that you do know the guy that owns the 'hoop' account, and he lets you use it. At the very least, I do have proof that on at least 3 occasions you two (one of your aliases + hoop) have accessed scoop from the same IP address within minutes of each other.
And if you were both posting from an arena, I'd expect a few other names to come up.

Having been on rocky's end of IP searches before, that's not a smoking gun, that's a smoking gun covered in fingerprints with 3 eye-witnesses and a video tape of the incident. The holiday beer meeting would explain one of those, but not 3 that are all months apart.
I didn't believe CBB and Hoop were the same guy. No longer. Unless they are roommates and co-workers at the same office branch, there's no logical explanation for that. Especially living 2,000 miles apart as "they" claim.
Can we archive those posts in one area? When the board melts down after a loss, it would be nice to go to those for a little pick-me-up.

This has been my theory from the beginning. (Not that I'm claiming it, it just seems obvious.)
99% of the time, the simplest answer is the correct one. The only question here is which is the simpler scenario, Chicos creating an active backup account in case he was banned, or Hoop sharing his account info with Chicos. I guess it would depend on when CBB accessed Hoop's account. If the first time was the December after the beer summit, assuming CBB had already been banned, I'd guess the shared account. If it was before the November summit, it would seem to be one user with two accounts.
Either way, definitive evidence that at least at times, Hoop and Chicos were one in the same.

IP addresses are typically assigned by your ISP, and IP addresses are typically "leased" to a computer for a definite period of time. When the lease expires (or is near expiration), the lease can be renewed or a new IP may be assigned. So most computers have what's called a "dynamic IP," which means it's subject to change from time to time... some subscribers may have a "static IP" address that never changes, however those are typically limited to business-plan subscribers, those hosting servers, etc.
Further, ISP's are given a range of IP addresses to assign... that's why you can track someone's general location (i.e. city/state) with an IP address. For instance, Comcast in Lake County, Illinois may assign IPs ranging from 173.165.0.1 to 173.165.255.255. So if you run across someone with a 173.165.X.X IP address, you know they're in Lake County; however, the computer using 173.165.213.12 (as an example) on Monday may not be using that IP address on Friday. However, if a website is accessed twice by the same IP address, the shorter the period of time is between the two page calls, the better the chance the calls originated from the same computer. ISP's can further tune the assignable ranges according to neighborhood, plan subscription, cell tower, etc. to the point where you might "share" a range of 50 possible IP addresses with only two or three neighbors (giving rise to the "possibly" line in Rocky's tracking software).
In essence, the IP address your computer is assigned at a given location (home, work, phone) may not always be the same, but they'll be in the same range.
So in this case, you have a couple of smoking guns:
1) The most damning case is where two separate usernames being used from the same IP address within minutes of each other indicates that Chico and Hoop were logging in from the same computer.
2) A pattern of four usernames (CBB, Chicos, Chicoz, Hoop) coming from the same IP range - and being the only Scoop usernames originating from that range - indicates that all four are using the same ISP from the same locale. In this case, it's nearly impossible to have two (or more) computers that are supposedly 1,000 miles apart accessing the same range.
3) Rocky was able to trace a set of IP ranges being used by Hoop which are assigned to DirecTV. (Chicos having mentioned on multiple occasions that he's an employee of DirecTV is pretty much all you need to know there).
With all this said, this doesn't necessarily mean that Hoop and Chicos are the same person. However, if this is not true, it does mean that -- as Rocky mentioned -- two (or more) people are sharing the Hoop username.

This isn't entirely true. We can't prove that they're on the same computer because they have the same IP. They are definitely browsing from the same physical location and are subnetted, but unless we have their MAC address we can't say that they're definitely on the same computer.
It's a lot like on your home network. You have one external IP address assigned to you. If you have 3 computers at home all on the same modem/router they will all look like they're coming from the same IP address.
Using the same IP is very damning, but not quite as specifically damning as you say. It would be highly unlikely that Chicos had another ardent MU fan working at the same DirecTV location in CA that happened to be on the same subnet as himself at work. Highly unlikely.

The company I work for has offices in Illinois and Texas (and elsewhere) but all internet traffic goes through one point in Illinois. Heck I could be on the moon going through a VPN and it'd look like I'm in Illinois.

I'm going with the opposite, the RDP into a Chicago computer was probably down a few times when a joke about Crean was posted and someone just couldn't let it go. A coincidence that these two usernames link to the same IP address multiple times and none of the 6,000+ others do even once. Our company's traffic doesn't route to one location; if I wanted I could RDP into a computer and show an IP in New York, Philadelphia, Chicago, or Silicon Valley.

Translation, Grey Advertising presented a few ad ideas to his team. His team said they like that one. The ads aired and now months later, his creative genius is responsible for the creation of the ad series.

Without evidence, this claim means nothing. Time to go through every post from every user referencing the possibility of Chicos and Hoop being the same or sharing an account and see which is timestamped first.
