I love being a Marquette fan, but this fanbase is just full of whiners about the referees. 

College refs suck. They are inconsistent and let A LOT go. Until structural changes are made regarding how college refs are employed, NONE of this is going to change.

Looked as bad as the Flagrant 2 in the Texas game the other night. Chase also took an offensive foul where there was contact to the face that should have been reviewed.

Think the solution is for the player to just lay on the floor for any non basketball play or contact to the head until the officials go to the monitor and review it. Though, on the other hand, I’m glad we don’t have that type of culture as the guys have more of a next play mentality.

The refs are bad. We should expect better and they need to fix it.

But we can’t control it and it’s obvious they suck, so no real reason to dwell on it. Just something we have to live with for the foreseeable future.

I don’t think it’s whining to point out an obvious deficiency. Last night they sucked to the point that someone could have got hurt. That’s a problem. Sometimes they suck less.

My first post in the thread Scheierman gets his face raked and head pulled with not even a common foul called.  Zero intent to go for the ball.  Unsurprisingly, the officials eventually lost control in that game as well.

Yeah man, this is unique to the marquette basketball fanbase. No other fan of any other team has ever whined about refereeing.

I actually thought the exact same last night. I've gotten used to Kolek not getting the calls when he's clearly fouled almost every time he takes it to the hoop, and other similar stuff. But Providence was playing a dangerous game last night. I'd be saying the same if our guys were playing that way.

It is comical.   Also was adamant that Sean should be handed the keys on day 1 as a freshman with TKo moved off the ball or to the bench.

It was brutally physical.
Glad no one was hurt other than TKO cut on the face.  And glad that was no worse.
If you don't play as physical back, the other team will just beat you up.
Don't like it as I think it moves the game a notch closer to a fight or team brawl.
