Kolek planning to go pro
I'd like to do a Canadian fishing trip this summer, but for the life of me, I cannot remember the names of any of the places in SW Ontario that my mother & step-father took me to when in my early teens. All I recall is that we always crossed at I-Falls and went through/near Thunder Bay.Anyone have any recommendations? It would be a couple buddies and our kids (7-10 y/o)... preferably someplace I could tow my newly tricked out F&S boat. Doesn't have to be fancy... we're likely leaving the wives at home.
Ha forgot about this thread!I hauled in a 48 inch Muskie this last weekend. Could barely get the hog in the boat.
Pics, or it didn't happen Hards!
Nice fish. Where were you?BTW, mine's bigger (51").
Sorry....meant Trego
Lake Namakagon
How many trips did you make to Lookers?
Hey Scoop fishers .... I'm trying to arrange a quick, 4- or 5-day fishing trip to the Hayward area for late summer/early fall. Having never fished in that area, could anyone who has been up there recommend any particular lakes/area we should be aiming for? Because I don't want to buy new gear, we're looking more for walleye, pike and bass than muskie. Thanks in advance for any help.
Wow, I'm very concerned for Benny. Being able to mimic Myron Medcalf's writing so closely implies an oncoming case of dementia.
A question for Scoop anglers:What are your thoughts regarding the common carp... I'm not talking the Asian or jumping variety, just the standard bottom-feeding carp that we've seen in our lakes and rivers for decades, specifically, what do you do if you catch one:1. Catch-and-release2. Throw it in the dumpster/garbage3. Smoke it4. Cut it up for bait5. Sterilize it and send it back as a message to its kin
You're damn right you meant Trego.Headed back to Alaska in a couple weeks where we are whacking in stored energy systems in native villages around Prince William Sound and the Valley. Have already planned this trip around the Dolly Varden run which will also coincide with the tail end of the chinook season. Throw in some halibuts and it ought to be a great time.
