Marquette fans got spoiled last year with this team going 17-3 in conference.  When prediction threads came out, a lot of smart posters noted they wouldn’t repeat that.  It’s hard!  Give me a road win in conference any day

I think outworked is a mischaracterization. The weird thing where we take the air out of the ball in big lead situations always sort of baffled me. Shooting 70% from field in that half and then try and play iso ball is weird.
Assume what I say should be in teal if it doesn't pass the smell test for you.

I really think a lot of people are giving pitino to much credit.

This is still not a great st johns team.
Pitino has them 36 in the NET. Beating the 36 NET team on their floor is a good thing.

Rebounds are directly related to missed shots.

They played poorly at stretches. They played great at stretches. In the end, they won.

Nope. This was a disaster of epic proportions.

Wins like this shouldn't even count. I hope St. John's appeals to the Supreme Court and our win gets overturned. That'd show us!

I was told that those predictions weren’t smart, but a sign of being part of the COLE.

Yup crapload of fans here don't understand or know ball. I didn't sin today because this felt like a toss up
