A given considering he never signed with us.

Good. Didn't he assault some girl at the HS he was going to? And he was suspended from playing basketball his senior year?

That kid made me squirm more than Todd Mayo.

Perfect.

Have to imagine this was orchestrated for awhile. Harris was never coming to MU, but Buzz kept him on the line.

Malek Harris ... Please contact Jermaine Rivers.  He left Georgetown to follow Crean to IU in the early years.

Ask him how it feels to be 10 - 22 playing against uninterested crowds no larger than your high school?

Mr. Harris, this is the life you chose.

I actually think he was suspended for two years.... Can anyone confirm?

Or Krunti Hester, who followed Mike Deane to Lamar.

Or Maurice Creek (transferred to GW), who followed Crean to Indiana.

Half of his junior year, all of his senior year. Separate incidents.

Did anybody actually think he'd set foot on MU's campus for his freshman yr?

Doc Rivers had something to do with JEREMIAH Rivers transferring to IU.  They finished 12th in attendance nationally in Rivers senior year.

Wait? Buzz still wants Malek? But, maybe, MU didn't?

A grown man wouldn't pout and then run off to a clearly worse job just because his bosses won't let him hire who he wants, right? No respect. No love. Doesn't MU appreciate what Buzz did?

We are getting warmer. Buzz believes he earned the right to take chances on guys Malek. After the last few year's issues, some more public than others, maybe MU felt that he had lost that privilege. That makes Buzz sad. Unloved. Unappreciated. Disrespected.

Voila! Virginia Tech.

Nick Williams also followed Crean to I4 and then transferred to Ole Miss.

We recruited Creek at MU but he never committed here verbally or otherwise.

Bingo. I am sure Buzz was thrilled about that, too.

Buzz is an egomaniac, like most head coaches, or quite frankly, like most successful individuals and executives. Its no big deal; goes with being the top dog. But, part of Buzz's shtick and ego is that he feels he, and maybe he alone, can save kids that need saving, ala Todd Mayo. He has said that numerous times about his players.

Malek may be in need of saving; his last two years are indicative of that need. Buzz, I am sure, did not appreciate being told he wouldn't be provided the opportunity to provide that saving. So, he took his ball and went home. A very crummy, Blacksburg home.

This should probably give everyone some insight into Buzz's state of mind.

The USAF has the highest standards for personnel. The Army, Navy, and USMC are full of people the AF would never touch. And frankly, I took great pride and comfort knowing my fellow airmen were the best. The guy fixing my jet was someone I was proud to serve with.

Marquette must maintain standards at intake in order to ensure its community is the best it can be. A guy who lights a woman's hair on fire should not be allowed anywhere near the Marquette campus. If BW feels that maintaining such standards is hampering his ability to win then perhaps he needs to reassess how or why he wants to win in that way.

I am thankful BW is now VPI's problem. If VPI wants to allow someone like Malek Harris to represent them that is their business. The good news is that BW is gone. Aim High, Marquette!

Yes, he repeatedly said he was against him leaving Georgetown but could not stop him.
