Buzz was showing lots of interest, but hadn't yet got to the point of making him an offer.

Other past targets signings this week were Christian Watford (four star SF) to Indiana and Ethan Wragge to Creighton.

I have to believe that Buzz is putting a full court press on Snaer and that he is our number one priority.

I doubt Kadima was high priority and while Dower would have looked good in a MU uniform, I get the sense that he was somewhere lower on the pecking order.

Nukem2

Dower reportedly has good skills and size, but ordianry athleticism and his motor level is somewaht questionable.

Wragge belongs in the the MVC, a Mike Bargen/ Scott Christopherson type player.  If we sign kids like that we are going to get killed in the BEast.

Snaer is the one and only.

Let's hope he doesn't have to enact the backup plan.

Agreed there are alot of options after Snaer that are very good ball players, very good especially compared to 75% of the kids signed in the last 9 years.  Snaer would be amazing. Solidly the #2 class in the nation.

Mark-can you elaborate?

This is all speculation but I think Jamil Wilson is still in the picture.  While it looked like we were in great shape with him earlier in the year and than out of it shortly after Buzz was hired, I think that we are now back in the picture.

I get the sense that Jamil really wants to stay close to home unless he gets a really strong push from a Kansas, Duke or NC type of program.  Considering that he has not looked great during the summer, those types of programs might be a bit hesistant to make that push so advantage us.  I think if we miss on Snaer and from the sound of it, it seems like we have at least a fighting chance with him, Wilson will eventually commit to us.  I just don't know if that will be a good thing as I really question the kids drive and desire.

Marquette is his final official visit, and that is on sept. 20th.  I would expect a decision by the end of the month.

Marquette is just his final scheduled visit at the moment.  He may still make an official visit to UCLA after that, and Kansas is was doing an in house with him this week, so he may make an official there as well.

gotcha.  still seems like around the end of the month would be a reasonable time for him to make a decision.
