Just got an email from MU.  Fanatics tickets are $85 which averages out to $4.25 per game.  All other athletic events will be free with an MU ID.

robmufan

Is that another increase...cause i know they increased them last year (my senior year)?

Yes, if my memory is right, I think the price last year was $70 for 18 home games ($3.89 per game).  That would be a price increase of 36 cents a game.

Gwaki

it is going up $15 each year till it reaches $100.  So one more increase.

Also the $85 has been known for a while now.  Its been on the fanatics page all summer

Haha MarqPTM, you spend more on beer at the game than the ticket.

Even for teams like IUPUI, $4.25 is not bad at all.  Pretend IUPUI was free and the Wisconsin game was $8.50.  You know damn well you'd pay $8.50 to see Wisconsin.

Considering I'm spending $40 for a seat, plus a Blue & Gold Fund donation, I feel is the better deal.

Aren't you splitting a seat?  That's only half the games then so divide the $85 by two to compare.

$42.50 Student Seat

$40 Season Ticket Seat + Donation

EDIT:  Is a $80 season ticket plus donation an option?

Splitting two seats. You're over thinking it.

The cheapest season tickets are $180, plus the $20 TicketMaster fee.  And that's with no donation.

Well... think of it this way:  MU vs DePaul, fellow BEaster and Midwest catholic university

MU in 3 years of BEast play:  pretty darn awesome (w/ room for improvement, of course)
Ticket cost:  *reasonable* ($85 can be made in 1 campus job paycheck, easy; or, skip Jimmy John lunches for 2-3 weeks; or skip going out to parties/bars/clubs for 2-3 weekends)
Venue: Awesome (relatively speaking)
Outlook for next year:  Should be good

DePaul in 3 years of BEast play: meh
Ticket Cost: free + free shuttle to the Allstate Ark (according to a student I know there)
Venue: 2 thumbs down
Outlook for next year: ???

I think we both know Marquette wins this one.
Of course you can compare things to make whatever point you want... but I guess I'd rather pay more to see a good team than pay nothing to see a crummy team.

Anyone know what the mean cost of student BEast Men's BBall tix is?

Last year Notre Dame students paid $60 for a BBall season ticket. It was a great deal! It has been $60 for a few years now, but I'm sure it will go up soon...

Yeah, it was $55 at Marquette up until 2 years ago... and that was during the DWade era no less!! granted it was C-USA, but still .. . .  i don't think you can buy beer at Joyce Center, though??  probably a little easier on the wallet, then :D
