Per Chris Mortenson and Al Harris, Favre "has the itch" to play again. Wonder how this will turn out.

Maybe his jock should be washed every now and then if he has an itch. Does anyone doubt this was going to be the scenario. I'm sure both sides are glad to be
moving on.

What a dink.  Basically the Packers have moved on to the Rodgers era and now he wants back?  I mean, after having Rodgers run the team during the mini-camps and settling into his role, he wants to come back now?  I just don't think the Packers can do that.  As much as I enjoy Favre, I just would have to say "no thanks" or at best try to trade him somewhere.

I would hate to think he orchestrated this whole thing by basically forcing a trade without looking like the bad guy.

McCarthy predicted this would happen when it was initially reported he was retiring initially. I don't see it happening but who knows.

MU B2002

Based on how he has almost retired each of the past several off seasons, is this coming as much of a surprise?  Does he want to come back for another ring or is he just not wanting to just be a lawn mower / wrangler spokesman?
Also, as he is the new Madden cover boy...  Has someone on the Madden cover ever played that season on a different team?

Is Favre behind this mess?

Or is it ESPN's way of bringing some kind of news to a dull summer?

Coach Norman Dale

I have a friend who has long advocated for a rule that once a player says he is retired, he cannot come back.  I have always thought that was amusing, but I am now starting to see some real logic to it.  Not just with Favre, but Jordan, etc., I find this fake drama sooooooooo tedious.

You'd be hard-pressed to find a bigger Favre fan than yours truly, but it's time to move on. Brett, stay in Mississippi.

I really think this is just something ESPN stirs the pot with so people start watching their station again.

I'm a huge Favre fan, but hopefully this is all just a rumor like Brett says it is and he can allow the Packers to move on and let Aaron Rodgers do his job without any distractions. So I'm just going to "get on board and keep my mouth shut!"

;D ;D ;D

Rollout-the-Barrel

I never thought Jordan would come out of retirement the second time so I guess there is a chance.  However, I think media will make something like this happen the next few years around this time bc there is still so much interest in Favre.
On another note, it's going to be real hard on Rodgers to follow Brett, especially if he is getting snappy with reporters before training camp.
