Just theorizing that the winning offense Buzz will utilize will require a point guard that gets out and runs the break. This is greatly different than the offense we gotten used to over the past 9 years where the point guard dribbles around for 30 sec., stagnates the offense, then bores the hell out of most of us.
What Buzz  saw in Dwight was a guard who could both handle and push the rock.
When you think of DB, imagine a winning offense with an up-tempo point guard running the show.

No one is quicker than james, who was starngled for 2 years under TC.  You may be right but if that is the formula we have none better than who we have right now.  The videos that i have seen of Buycks he is nowhere as quick as Dominic

A common denominator of Fulce, Butler, Maymon, Buycks is that they all handle the ball well.   I theorize there may be more motion and less reliance on a single ballhandler.

Their's players just as quick, if not quicker and faster in college basketball than James. And they're bigger too. For instance, did you see Derrick Rose play last year? How about Eric Gordon? Jayred Bayless? Darren Collison? Ty Lawson? Sherrod Collins? I can keep going on. James is no doubt very quick, but to say "no one is quicker than James" is a false statement. I would also say Johnnie Flynn from 'Cuse is easily every bit as quick and fast as James. Hell, Dyson and Price from UCONN are very comparable. The video I saw of Buycks he looked like he had more speed than quickness. For those of you that have seen Buycks in person how do you rate his speed/quickness/athleticism? I'm curious because I've never seen him play. How does he stack up in those areas compared to other guards out of the Milwaukee area like Korie Lucious and Diante Garrett? I asked this question yesterday, but got no response. Come on folks I'm sure someone on this board has seen these guys along with Buycks play.

He's faster than Garrett, or at least he was while at Bay View.  I'm not sure about Lucious, mainly because it's always hard to gauge whether Lucious is going full speed or not.  Regardless of whether Lucious is faster, he's still very quick...though I wouldn't necessarily say that any of them are faster than DJ.  IMO opinion Buycks is the most athletic of the 3.

In terms of basketball skills, Garrett is probably a better passer.  Lucious is a better outside shooter.  Buycks is a better defender and rebounder.  Plus, Buycks always finds ways to score.  Lucious has flash, and everyone knows who he is, Garrett has text book skills and his dad played in the NBA, but Buycks just gets it done.  He's not always pretty to watch, but he flies all over the court going for rebounds, making shots, deflecting passes etc.

Thanks a lot for filling me in bma725. I appreciate it and respect your opinion a lot.

those guys maybe as quick as jmaes but not quicker and hey are all future pros...Gordon, dyson and price have n were near the quickness as DJ.  The point is if Buzz is waiting for a quicl PG to run he will never have one quicker than he has right now

muwarrior87

I have to agree about Gordon. He is not that quick. Just look at what the NBA scouts are saying about him. He just simply isn't that quick.

Nice blinders on 4ever.  DJ is loaded with talent and a winner.  I can only hope we can find a PG the level of DJ.
