Solid game tonight
I love TC as a coach...only have 1 problem with what he did tonite.
Alrite with about 30 seconds TC decides that now the walkons should get sum PT.  And alottapeople in the building start clapping cause they wanna see these guys play.  I mean they dedicate their time and energy to the team and get no financial rewards.  Well, no whistles blown in the last 30 seconds so these kids get no PT.  If u watch them theyre the biggest cheerleaders (maybe besides Barro).  I mean ur up 20 wiht 2 minutes to go..whats gonan happen ... u win by 15???  Morgan State put in their backups with 1.5 minutes to go.  I think itd be sweet to see these guys to get sum PT and score.

As much as I would like to see the walk-ons get in for a few minutes if we are up big, there has to be the understanding that they did not sign up/walk on to get PT. I do not think Crean should need to feel obligated to put them in every time we are up. I understand their importance and involvement with the team, however, I think there are still some players on our bench on scholarship that are not getting enough PT, even if it is the last few minutes. Also, it makes you wonder if the walk-ons appreciate when everyone is yelling at them to shoot..I would think they would rather be treated as any other player on the team. It is an honor for them to step on the court with the rest of the team and they should be proud of themselves as should their teammates be proud of them. They put a lot of work in without recognition and reward and it is great to see them get out there, but I don't think they should be harassed to shoot the ball or score. It is nice to see TC involve them in some games though.

I agree that they should have been played earlier, c'mon, with at least two minutes or so to go they should be put in.  The only reason that I thought (giving TC some credit which I rarely do) was to try a few different line-ups on the floor to "test the waters" and see what could happen with a four guard offense, etc.  However, these guys, depsite not being scholarship players, yet putting in tons of time practiing, being on the road, not being with family over the holidays like regular students, they should get a couple 2-3 minutes when up by 15-20.  If you really can't trust them to be in the game when up by that much should they even be on the team?  I think walk-ons are great, stuudents love them, alumni love them and for that--give them some p.t. !!
