Before the Oakland game, the talk on the boards was all about poor 3 point shooting and how easy it was to shut down our transition offense if the defense simply packed it in.

MU responded with 57% shooting on treys with 27 points off transition.

Before this game the concerns were our poor foul shooting (which someone said was unlikely to improve) and whether McNeal could possibly be ready for the NBA with is terrible turnover stats and poor shooting.

MU responds wtih 81% from the line, and McNeal puts up 25 points, hits over 50% of his shots (including 40% of his treys), and dishes out 7 assists against only 3 turnovers.

Can I be the first to predict widespread "concern" on the board based on our our rebounding, followed by a decisive advantage against Savannah State?

Please understand that we played Morgan State..it was nice to see the numbers up and the team shooting well but they are not exactly a top notch team. I would love to see more consistency in all areas particularly FT shooting and points behind the arc. Hopefully will continue to see improvement as the season progresses..

if we can shoot 81% against MS we can shoot 81% anynight.  Its not liek the UCONN or Louisville jersey's will throw off our shooters at the free throw line.  I mean we probably couldnt win many games with james playing liek he did.  But we can shoot 81% form teh line anytime.
