Busy Buzz, Buzz.  Lots of playing time to offer guards.  He is really going in a different direction than TC--taller and longer.

With Buzz - I feel like he is eternally greatful to Marquette for this opportunity.  With Crean, he was always looking for the next gig at a big ten school.

I think one of the reaspns Crean left was that he saw a ceiling on recruting at MU. Right now Buzz does not see that ceiling. he believes he can recruit anyone anywhere. If he has results he will be very happy here. I think he will recruit better than Crean. I am not impressed with what Crean is doing at Indiana. I think there will be a lot of transfers of Crean recruits out of Indiana as he will need to upgrade his talent level .

Good point.  Maybe Crean saw a ceiling that wasn't there or he, himself was the ceiling. 

Let's keep in mind that Buzz still has a long way to go to building a winning basketball team with his own recruits.  So far, so good, though. 

On your comment regarding transfers, do you mean that the IU fan base won't be satisfied with the 4 guard offense with one 3 star stiff playing center?

You can tell by the number of kids who have MU on their list that we are out there doing something in a big way.  Buzz still has to close the best ones he can get, and is off to a good first step with Maymon.  But there's a lot to do, as said above.  He will need to continue this pace, get our name out there, and close down some great guards and maybe a big. 

And I agree that I think he is grateful for this opportunity - and he seems to be working very hard.  I am thinking the ripple effect of his staff will continue to grow and that we willl see more kids putting us on their lists.  But we want the best ones to sign!  Let's GO MARQUETTE!  And Go Go Buzz!
