Saw an article on Rivals that said this guys is asking for a release from LSU.  5 star player in the 2008 class from....TEXAS.  Chances are he's gonna sign with UCLA, but wouldn't it be something if Buzz uses his Texas connections to have this guy take a look at us.  Just thought it was interesting enough to pass along.

I know this is not going to happen .... but this 5 star recruit is 6' 10" 275.  Wow, is this exactly what next year's team needs!

I can't see how just having some Texas connections are going to even come close to getting this guy.  I assume the only way we would ever have a chance with five star recruits is if we start recruiting them early high school.  I would love having someone that big though... we could undoubtedly have a top 5-10 team with a talented big man.

Morgan is like the fourth best center prospect and 25th ranked player in the country.  He is from Dallas and isn't Buzz known for the Houston area?  No way this guy even sniffs at us. But could you ever imagine a center of this quality as opposed to a project, with the players we have coming back.  Now UCLA, you bet.  What is it, three final fours in a row, the weather, the coach or the cheerleaders?

Many folks out here think he's coming to UCLA.  Just proves the point again how damn hard it is to get top 4's and 5's....hopefully Buzz can get that done, but there aren't that many out there and everyone wants them.  Those that you get, you've definitely earned.  Good luck t Buzz in that pursuit.

never even implied we would land this guy.  said i wonder if Buzz's texas connections could make this guy take a look at us.  This late in the game, not everybody has open schollies, and fewer have open play time.  we have both.  unfortunately, as i also said, so does UCLA.

You would think that more top-tier talents like him might want to go to schools where they can make a bigger name for themselves.  I think Michael Beasley got even more publicity playing for Kansas State than he would have for a big name bball school.  Needless to say the best talents will always be talked about, but I would think if some big name guys came to MU, they could run the show here, get some good coverage and inflated stats too.   ;)

he supposedly will be announcing that he is signing with UCLA as early as today.
