Memphis Assist????

On Milwaukee am 1250 they were reporting that MU signed an assistant coach from Memphis?  I wasn't able to catch any details, but was curious if anyone heard this or has any other insight on this.

I hadn't heard that but it would probably fit into the up-tempo play strategy that we are used to.

Are you sure they weren't talking about UMASS hiring a Memphis assistant (Kellogg) as their head coach yesterday?

I agree with death to Bennett-ball.  But do we really want someone who learned to recruit under Calipari???  We could end up like Indiana if he picked up certain tricks of the trade from that slickster...

Good point there. There must be other 40-minutes-of-hell style coaches that aren't Calipari disciples.

Chicos - Thank you I think this could have been it.  Thank you and my apologies to the board.  I wasn't trying to start a rumor, just trying to figure out if I was hearing things.  Maybe a case of wishful thinking on my end.

I don't believe that Calipari was ever involved in recruiting violations.  Outside of Marcus Camby admitting years later that he signed with an agent while still in school, his programs have been squeaky clean.

Memphis Assistants were hired at both Marist and UMass... I wonder if Calipari is running them off
