He'll follow through on the $100,000 donation.

Plus there is the benefit that he might get to see Tom Crean on a plaque near the Stadium.  The man loves to have his name on anything.

Yes.  He co-founded the Playground Warriors program in 1991.  Jamil plays for Playground Elite, which is the 17U off shoot of the Playground Warriors program.

Wow.  All this time I thought PRN was blowing smoke up everyone's ass.  The man is truly a snake.

Although, to be quite honest, if Judas was still here and it helped us land Wilson, I'm not sure I would have cared.  He had better follow through though.

I know this doesn't fit in with the evilness that is Crean, but it is my understanding that the donation was also requested from the department / university administration.  People are reaching here to put it mildly.

What everyone knows now that only a small percentage knew 3 weeks ago is...that Tommy Naismith doesn't blink unless it is in his own self interest.  FWIW.

Aren't we throwing out the baby with the bathwater here?

I know it's fashionable to bash TC and his character lately, but he did do a lot of good for the university.

I'm certainly disappointed with the way he left... and it may be an indication of his character as some people state (I can't argue with that).

However, couldn't all of the good things that he has done be indications as of his character as well?

- He's graduated every kid that has come in and played their whole career at MU
- He suspended Trend for bad academics, and brought him back once he got his books straight
- He won a lot of games
- He had his team do a number of charity events (hunger clean-up, al's run, hospital visits, etc)
- (the list goes on)

I'm just sayin'... the guy isn't satin. I think some of you guys are losing it... or maybe just joking (and I can't tell)

The fact that he left quickly doesn't necessarily mean he is the root of all evil for everything at MU (ie TC was behind the "gold" thing, TC won't make the donation, TC told MU to hire Buzz so he would look better, etc. etc.)

I wonder why Barry and him were so close

I don't know why you would care now.  If this allegation is actually true...and I doubt it is...he did make a donation with his own money.  And it benefitted MU in the long run.

For what it's worth, Jamil Wilson is no longer affiliated with the Wisconsin Playground Warriors. He plays for a NIKE-sponsored team called the Playground Elite. That group broke off of the Playground Warriors over the winter.

I love it when people remind us how brilliant they are. It's even more impressive when it's in capital letters and with an exclamation point. Not even Murff is that much in love with himself.
