TC just missed out on this kid from Mount Vernon, NY a few yrs ago.........now he's seeking greener pastures

That is too bad, but I feel as though we don't have much of a chance to get him.  I don't think we can spare the scholarship for Mitchell but who knows.

I won't care if Buzz can convince TT to stay with us.

He would be a nice add to shore up the middle class (between the Senior Amigos and Buzz's first recruiting class) AKA the possibly painful years.

Mitchell, the 2006 New York Player of the Year, was "basically looking to come up home, to the Northeast. He's looking to get more minutes," Cimmino said.

That pretty much says it all about the importance for some to be close to home...

Herbert said UMass "stayed in the running" because head coach Travis Ford did not end up at LSU or Providence.

...and playing for a coach they like.[/i]
