Don't mean to overreact, but if true we're in big trouble unless Otule is far better than expected. Not that we saw all that much out of Mbakwe this year anyway, but all we'll have inside is Burke (good effort but way undersized) and Otule.

We'll be lucky to go above .500 in conference despite all the talent at guard-a sad way for the Three Amigos to go out. On a positive note, you can bet they'll play their tails off and do all they can. Sad they are in this position.

Maybe some big Jucos can fill the void.

Anyone notice his golf clap when Buzz was announced at the PC yesterday and how Buzz barely shook his hand?  Pretty much the same with SC...it's noticeable if you watch the intro again....not surprised.

Trevor, we hardly knew ya....way to stick it out!

Heaven forbid any of these kids experience a little turmoil.

They are going off a report from Chris Monter on the scout site yesterday which IWB has said is not true.
“Being realistic is the most common path to mediocrity.” Will Smith

We live in a society that rewards mediocrity , I detest mediocrity - David Goggi

I want this quote to serve as a reminder to the vast majority of scoop posters in regards to the MU BB program.

Just to get the link out there again, IWB/Ganzer also posted this on SportsBubbler for those that can't access scout.
http://community.sportsbubbler.com/forums/t/40542.aspx

Like I said before.  Marquette has never (well, in the past few years) released someone before the academic year was up.  Even if Trevor wants to transfer (and we actually have a few sources here that say he doesn't) it will happen later.

Why the MN scout site keeps this story up on the site -- I don't know.

Recruiting JUCO's is apparently Buzz's specialty-----I wonder how long FR Wild will tolerate that?

Also...the MN forums don't seem to think they've got him...

at least - not yet.

This rumor is like gum on your shoe....no matter how hard you try, it just won't go away.

No way MU releases him until the end of the semester.

Who ever thinks we will go .500 or lower in conference is dumb (if our guards stay).  Are we really giving Barro that much credit?  He was decent on the defensive end only because he was never really eaten alive by big players but he was never a defensive presence.  Does anyone remember Barro shooting anything that wasn't a layup or free throw?  Does anyone remember him getting blocked by the  front of the rim when he tried to dunk?  It won't take much for any big guy to pick up where Barro left off?  We are going to be fine next year - barring people leaving or injuries.

So which big guy is going fill that void?  We are officially one deep at the 5 (unless you count Hazel) with a guy who can pick up 3 fouls in 5 minutes.  We were 4 games over .500 this year with the same starting 5 as the previous season....we now have a first time head coach (I'll choose to ignore the UNO season).... a .500 season in the BE next year is very realistic.  I'm certainly hoping for much better things...but it's not out of the question.

I understaned .500 is a possibility but Utule can fill that void, easily.  All we need is a guy who can sit in the low post and wait for players to calapse on James/McNeal and make a layup.  If Otule has ANY talent (and there is a possibility that he doesn't), he could be better than Barro.  If Utule can take a step toward the basket and slam with some authority, he will be MUCH better than Barro.

basically i know that he's not going anywhere because my friend knows him and he said he's not..so...please...indulge!
Yep, same for me.  In fact, I heard Trevor doesn't even know where the transfer rumors started.

Where are these two clowns??  :D :D

Sucks to see him go...   :-\

I notice that.

I especially was watching his interaction with SC. Not much there...probably a sign.
