I don't know what to believe with Buzz, my own experience will weigh in eventually.

On the other hand, the ad banner at that site was nothing new at all...

It's odd - they are mad about the way he left, but also say how terrible he was becuase he lost and was outcoached.  He will be up against some of the best coaches in the country in the BEast - Crean was certainly outcoached, as are many, by Huggins and Pitino.

We will just have to see for ourselves - we now have the opportunity, and it will begin now - long before his first season - let's see who he gets for assistents, and who he can recruit for this year.  Big issues immediately in front of him.  Hopefully he gets off to a fast and great start.

Eesh!  Most of the hate on that board seems to stem from Buzz's departure from UNO but there are some coaching mistakes as well it sounds like.

Hopefully he will have better assistants here than at UNO.

You beat me to it.  Keep in mind how's most peoples opinion of Tom Crean changed from two weeks ago to what it is now.

What fun is it to have great talent if we don't have the coach to use that talent appropriately?

As everyone knows, I'm against this hire. Well, watching that PC I was taken a bit by his early emotional moments. I thought it was because of how quick things have turned for him in 10 months. I thought it was because of Tex Winter, Al McGuire, Butch Lee, Doc Rivers, Bo Ellis, Earl Tatum, Kevin O'Neill, Anthony Pieper, et al. Now, I'm back to 95% anti-Buzz.

I can't wait for his first road game next season into Gampel with the visiting press corps sitting there jaws dropped wondering why the MU coach is choking back tears.

Looks like they don't think going form 8 div1 wins to 13 div1 wins had anything to do with Buzz.  Ok.  I admit I don't know the situation (just the stats)...I'll just STFU now....

Chicos, I think they gave a pretty good explanation as to why Williams' team won 4 more games than the year before - and it does not make Buzz out to be a miracle worker. Only 8 home games the year before, top two scorers injured, living through the immediate aftermath of katrina. Williams got the top scorer back who scored 25+ a game, which was definitely helpful.

What worries me more though are the stories of him crying in post-game shows and on his tv show. Drawing up plays on all fours on the court?

And I can't say I'm impressed with their stories about his exit from UNO.

Geez I hope this all works out, but I am not excited at all about this hire. I hope  my doubt is misplaced.
