Bilas handled well. I would say Chris Kamen is the best white American in the NBA though.

I really enjoy Jay Bilas' perspective and ability to see through a lot of b.s. on a lot of different subjects.  He would make a great coach if he ever wanted to get out of ESPN.

"OK, fine, then take offense."  Sports Talk radio guys talk out of their a$$ 90% of the time.  It's kind of shocking they don't get called out more often for wandering into territory like this.

Bilas: "This is stupid."  I love that guy - he is so good.

Down here in South Florida, as a columnist for the Miami Herald, he definately lived up to the TARD part of his name.

Kaman, now.

Maybe even Dunleavy.

But watch out for Diener...and Novak! Much in the mold of their predecessor, Chris Crawford!

David Lee on the Knicks is good. So is Mike Miller. Dunleavy as well.

By the way, Kamen's dad played tennis at Marquette, if I'm not mistaken.

Best white guy in the league is Nowitski, maybe Nash. And they're a German and Canadian.

Getting your white guys confused.  Chris Mihm's parents played tennis at MU

Went to chaminade with him for high school.  He was a dick then and dick now.

tyler hansboro is the white version of dj white, and it's a shame to college basketball that he was the player of the year.
Commit to us, commit to the jersey, commit to the people here. They don't want to commit to the Indian, let's go upstairs and get them out of here~!

there was an interview on 1250 in the evening last week (i think it was tuesday night, right after crean left) and bilas sounded like he had the biggest stick up his ass. he was (not surprisingly) singing crean's praises but just refused to answer any of the questions because he was too big of a hardass to do so...must of been a sexless night the evening before w/the wife

While our opinions of Bilas may vary, I think we can all agree that LeBatard is a complete hack.

Mayor McCheese

I agree with Bilas, that there isn't any difference when going pro on color, however I do remember reading articles on recruits out of high school

just looking at 40 times, and other things people look at (this is for football I believe).... that race came into play, not on purpose, but just the idea in the back of people's minds thinking that black athletes are more talented/more athletic then whites.... do I believe this, not fully, not to the extent that I am going to blast it on talk radio, however as much as we hate to see it, the white athlete is gone, I believe that in like 2003/2004 there were 32 white United States born players in the NBA, and I could bet you about a dozen didn't see time.

Not trying to sound like LeBetard, who sucks imo, but it is just odd to see that athletes these days seem to be consistently black, in any sport, besides hockey, and wonder why that is.

In no particular order...

Kaman, Dunleavy, and Mike Miller.
