Areas for improvement...

I hope Williams does a better job than Crean in having players improve over the course of their stay at Marquette. That is one thing that I found lacking in Crean. Look at the big three. James best year was his freshman year, Matthews seems to have reached a plateau. McNeal, obviously made a huge leap the last part of this year, but other than that, the players seemed to have pretty much peaked. Of course a lot of that is due to a talent ceiling a player may have, but I think no matter how well you recruit, your players need to continuously improve. That's one of things a good coach should do.

I disagree, Dom's decision making improved from Soph to Junior and during Junior year.  Burke got better.  Lazar got better.  McSteal got way better.  Matthews may have plateaued due to having to guard some of the best wing players in college BB.

Novak got better.  Diener got better.  Wade got better.

anyway, the place where we need to most improvement is the AD.

I think the players progressed for the most part.  One area I think we can use improvement is in-game coaching.  I am hoping that Buzz will do a great job with that, which can make the difference in the outcome of many games.

As of 2 pm this afternoon, upon formal announcement, I would suggest the biggest area that we will need improvement in would be:

Head Coach.

PS - Partially kidding.....sorta.  I hope.
