I like the idea of being forced to stay at least 2 years in school.  Makes it so you actually have to try and go to class.

I think this is actually bad news for programs like us that recruit four year players.  This is good news for the schools that get the players who are good enough to be one and done.  This helps the elite in NCAA stay elite.

I think after recent events I am becoming conditioned to think everything that happens is a bad sign for MU, though.

I think it will spread the 5 stars around a bit as they will will not want to sit.

I don't like it.  It means the Kansas States and OSUs that are recruiting these one and done players don't get them.  If Duke or UNC or UCLA can have one of these players for only one year they're not all that interested, but at two years they will want them.  I go along with Bob Knight on this one-the NBA age restriction does more harm than good to the NCAA.

Agreed. This is the death-nell of the recent success of mid-majors who were able to compete because they had strong, cohesive teams that could play competitive basketball against more skilled, but younger and less cohesive teams at the powerhouses. With this, the programs that can get loads of recruits will not only have the better athletes, but will have them for longer and will be able to get them to work as better teams. This won't help Marquette unless Buzz Williams starts bringing in 4 and 5 star athletes from Texas, his "source" for talent......................
