I assume that would make him a genius in some people's eyes. I'm wondering whether they are happier over Crean's departure or Buzz's hire. This must be Mardi Gras for the naysayers. Good Luck Buzz!

That won't be the only similarity to Deane, Chicos.

The good side is tickets will probably be easy to get in 2-3 years, won't have to get season tickets and be stuck with the underwhelming teams!!

The former coach didn't drink. Deane did.

Deane didn't drink. Deane partied. I remember him being so drunk at Hegarty's that he had to convince some girl to drive his car home. It was kind of cool at the time to be out and having drinks with the coach, but looking back on it now a decade later and 10 years older, it was actually pretty weird and really bad judgment on Deane's part.

Going to Turner's after the game to be with the alumni is a little different, there are people with their kids there, but going to the campus bars is pretty weird. Very Larry Eustachy.

I remember Deane peeing on the end of his necktie (at a urinal) at Turner's.  He was sober enough to rinse it off in the sink.  He must have had the same knot-tying coach as TC.
The shaka sign, sometimes known as "hang loose", is a gesture of friendly intent often associated with Hawaii and surf culture.

Crean didn't drink?  hhmm... if I only knew that, I would have never trusted him for 9 years.
