The Wade Factor

Since Tom "Irsay" left I've been concerned about the relationship DWade will have with the program going forward. I understand and believe DWade when he says he is a part of MU, not just the hoops program, but a large part of that seemed to be his close relationship with TC. I don't think Wade will abandon the program, but for example, who the hell would call Wade now and get him to jump on a plane to Marq Madness to hopefully land some recruits. I don't see him doing that for people he doesn't even really know.

This would have been the case with or without Buzz, so it is not intended as a slam on Buzz. Just another of the many potential negatives with the recent events. TC may not have been the most likeable guy around, but there is no denying the program is light years ahead now of where it was before he arrived.

In my mind DWade is one of the top assets going for the program, let's hope we don't lose his interest too. Hopefully Buzz will reach out to Wade, Novak and Diener and try to develop a relationship with them too.

Wade's a class act...he will be there should Marquette call.  His number is in the rafters.  They need to remember not to take his loyalty for granted however.
