Considering he's coaching where he's from originally, I doubt he might consider MU, but I'll throw this name out there...

Huggins drippings would be a turn off for the administration, but I'll bet he'd have a beer with the fans at Turners

Why has Jamie Dixon not been mentioned anywhere?  Is it because he is a Big East coach?  I think he would be great!

Dry White Toast

Would be a lateral move for Dixon.  Why would he leave his current job?

Most coaches don't like moving intra conference and Pitt is already a top 25 program with a nice recruiting class coming in

But on the other hand, he wouldn't have to put up with Pitt players/fans.  :)
I would love Dixon but I'd say he's less likely to be the guy than any name I've heard.

Untucked

Steve Lavin would be a good choice. He has been contacted by a couple schools in the last few years, and had considered the offers.
Q: What's the difference between Bo Ryan and God?
A: God doesn't think he's Bo Ryan!!

forget his name, Frank heigh?, coach of the University of Miami would be a great choice.  Was an assistant at Texas and then to Miami.  Great game coach and recruiter and w/ his Texas connections would keep us going there.

I would have to disagree with the Frank Haith pick.  I am a grad student at UM and was never impressed by Haith. He is starting to turn a pretty average program around but this is his first year with 20+ wins which was done on the back of Jack McClinton and a bunch of cupcakes (I don't know for sure but I think they may only have 4 or 5 wins against tournament teams).  His win % his first three years at Miami was a pretty dismal .484.  His confrence record is worse regardless of competing in the ACC.  I don't believe he has the personality or charisma to excite a community like Crean did at Marquette and I definately think that is one trait our new coach needs.

What excites me is winning, and doing so with quality kids that graduate and stay out of trouble. Winning can make anyone look charismatic enough...and losing tends to exacerbate personality flaws.

Nice to have, sure...but I'd like to think that our program and support is solid enough that charisma and sales ability wouldn't be major selection criteria.
