Awards banquet.

I copied this from another board, hope noone minds.

The best way to support this team right now is to show up for the end of season awards banquet to celebrate their achievements and let them no that no matter what Douche Crean did, we are all part of the Marquette family and we appreciate and want them at Marquette.

I really think this is the way to show some support, I ordered my tickets today and I wasn't going to go but now I am.

They have sold only 200 tickets so far and it'd be great if we could get 500 there.

Everything on this board has been a bunch of pissing and moaning, I prefer to move on and I'm going to support whats left of the  team and MU.

I follow MU and no coach can stop that, KO left NEXT, Dukiet was fired, NEXT, on and on.
Crean did what was best for  him and I can't blame him, Next.!

I'm looking forward to next year and that starts with the Awards Banquet, I hope many of you think the same way and show your support.

We are in a much better situation than in past years when looking for a coach and we'll do just fine.

Hey - and if we're lucky - you'll be able to greet and talk with MU's new coach at the banquet too  ;D

I just wanted to bump this thread to the top as it seems to have fallen back a few pages.

If anyone out there is able to attend get your tickets now to show support for the players!

Is Mr. Hoosier welcome at this event? If he is in attendance or on video, I hope he's booed out of the building.

On the other board MUUWUWM wrote yesterday:

You can call the ticket office and ask for Sarah Klaus (Claus?) and she can arrange it for you 414-288-7127.

Also I know a few people got tickets today.

Thanks. Too poor for that. If anybody here is going, please take notes or pictures or whatever they allow. I'd love to see how it ends up being now that slick Tommy's gone.

Rumor has it (this coming from somebody who works at the AL) that the new coach will be announced before the banquet. Hopefully he'll attend. The banquet will definitely be interesting.

it would be pretty damn cool if they announced the new HC at the awards banquet, so that the first people who knew were those in attendance.

I hope not.  That would be completely infantile and make us look moronic - not a good reflection on the program at all.
