Crean would NEVER go to a Big Ten school because it would be too painful to face Izzo twice a year.

Tom said he knew about this a couple days ago and Crean anguished over it financially and personally.

So in a couple days, he couldn't trouble himself with the professional courtesey of letting MU know. Nice.

PRN,
I've spent way too much time on the two boards the past 12 hours but I have to say your line  "I hope the soccer check cleared"  was far and away the best thing I've seen.    For me, that press conference epitomized the Tom Crean era.

Izzo, now there's a guy who doesn't know good basketball, good basketball coaches, or good people!! ::)  Why didn't he just admit that Crean is a lousy coach, awful human being and not of MU caliber?

Hey, here's another guy who doesn't know the "real" Tom Crean.  What a dummy!  He cannot coach either! :P

From Doc Rivers:

"It's a tough loss for us, I'll say that," Rivers said. "A great gain for Indiana. ... They're getting a great guy. That program, it looks like they need somebody who's going to work their butt off, and there will be no one in college basketball that will work harder than Tom Crean
