Seems odd that Crean has not spoken to any media in Milwaukee or made any statements thanking Marquette for the opportunity it provided him. I hope he does something more than just acknowledge MU in his press conference at Indiana tomorrow morning.

When O'Neill left for Tennessee, didn't he talk to Homer on the radio and even take questions from some fans? Is there a chance Crean will do the same?

🏀

I expect him to high tail it out of here with no respect to MU.

Thanks for taking out money.

MUsoxfan

He's a chicken crap.   He'll never be back unless by some miracle he's scheduled to play a game in Milwaukee

TallTitan34

I would have expected him to do it before he left.

🏀

The LA Tan in Bloomington just opened up their 10 AM slots on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Sorry girls, Crean's got priorities. Skin Cancer sucks.

I think if we haven't heard from him already, we probably won't, in a local capacity.

After not even informing his own players, recruits, or the AD of his decision to leave the University?  I don't think so... Fact is, we've all been fed this image of a coach who cared about his players, the University, the fans, and the city and all we really had was a coward who was using us to get to supposed "bigger and better" things (re: $$$$) when he could have continued and been a legend right here in Milwaukee.

Good riddance, Tom Crean.  I hope you fall flat on your face at Indiana and end up back at some mid major school fishing for any semblance of success.  And I don't want to be classified into the "Crean hater" or "Crean lover" groups that are present on this board.  I'm neither.  I liked Tom Crean for how he treated the fans, spoke glowingly of the University and city, and got maximum effort and hustle from his players. Now that it turns out it was all a convenient act and he's left the University high and dry with no heir apparent at coach and uninformed recruits, Tom Crean can suck it.

I hope we run into him in the tournament next year.  Payback is a bitch.

He gone...why do a presser where he is going to get fried?  I would only expect a nod at IU tomorrow and maybe a release.

Considering IU's high expectations and crean's bad NCAA history, He will be getting fired soon, and I will be extremely happy when that happends!!!

I Hate to say this, but it would be in MU's best interest for Crean to do really well.  It reflects better on our program.

Look At Xavier.  Mike Brey than Thad Motta now Sean Miller.  The legacy of those that came before him Miller make his stock all the more attractive.  Why does everyone want Miller and not any other mid-major coach that had a good year?  Answer Brey and Thad Motta.

How about Tommy Amaker to replace Crean?  Harvard's coach is the natural replacement for Coach K when he retires.  However, Amaker needs to show that he can compete in the upper reaches of a power conference.  Taking the MU job for the next several years and keeping them a top 15 program and top three to four in the Big East suits me fine and gives him exactly what he needs for Duke to come calling.

Mike Brey was at Delaware before ND, perhaps you are thinking of Skip Prosser who left XU for Wake.

PuertoRicanNightmare

His next press conference will be held after he and Joanie pay their fines at the public library.

So...we get to keep the hyperbolic chamber, right?

jaybilaswho?

biggest deal maker was that IU offered crean all the free diet pepsi's and tans he wants.

what a jackass.
