I said it when the news broke: that was FR. WILD'S screw up.

I told people then: look at what this tells people outside the University - we are more interested in hiring a hack university lawyer with ZERO athletic experience to be our AD, including over the deputy AD, why would this be a professional and welcoming environment?

I wonder if that hiring pushed Crean over. Maybe.

But I know one thing for certain: Cottingham is NOT going to be of any serious help experience-wise in getting a new AD.

I wouldn't be surprised if Cords heads up the search committee. (Please, please).

I am not sure you all realize how grevious a betrayal this is...Wild and the entire admin gave him EVERYTHING (including the opportunity to name us the "Gold" and a freakin' job for his FATHER IN LAW). This story is going to get worse, I assure you. Don't say I haven't been warning you.
