They'll be doing us a solid if they can finish off Bucky.

Curry is unbelievable.  The kid is making Lebron James drop.

nyg

Up 17 with 7 to go.  They are extremely well coached on offense and that kid Curry is insane.

Another fine tournament outing by Bo. Still yet to beat a higher seed in the NCAA's.

Wisco got absolutely pounded in the second half. Checking out their Scout board, it was great to hear about their upcoming game against Kansas.

Oh wait, that's not going to happen. As much as our loss hurt, I 'd rather go out the way we did, playing our hearts out against an outstanding team, rather than getting just flat out whipped up on by a mid major.

I wonder how Fran feels know about "looking forward to beating Davidson".

I don't know what I enjoyed more, watching Davidson embarrass Wisconsin, or reading your link about how they won't make the same mistakes Georgetown did.  Yeah, they made many more mistakes than Georgetown.

I will give the one guy credit. He correctly said UW had problems against teams who rain down threes all night!

patso

Wouldn't it be great if Davidson won it all. I don't hate Wisconsin but they got beat fair and square and I think they had the refs clearly on their side. There was one play where Stiesma threw a guy into next week and then shot foul shots. DAVIDSON

ecompt

There was a call early in the second half when a Davidson player was ahead of the field going in for a layup and was hacked from behind. Somehow, it was ruled a non-shooting foul. Then at the other end the whiny Butch elbows a Davidson player in the face to free himself and gets a dunk stuffed but draws a foul. There are few things sweeter than watching Bucky walk off the court after losing to a higher seed every year.

In a different thread, Fran said after MU loss to Stanford "Marquette takes it's usual seat at the end of the postseason bench".

I guess that's right next to Wisconsin's seat. Talk about HUGELY underachieving in the postseason recently. Wow.

One thread told Mr. Curry and Mr. Richards to be prepared to meet Mr. Flowers and Mr. Hughes. They did, and they weren't impressed.

I thought Flowers had a subpar NCAA's.  He was torched for 31 by Akognon of Fullerton and 33 again tonight by a stud.  For someone who was proclaimed by the BN to be a better stopper than Jerel, I would of thought he could have slowed Curry down a bit tonight.  What impressed me tonight was how Davidson just wore the Badgers down.

Fox Valley Warrior

I bet Fran's gut feels like it's been kicked a time or two.Prehaps the back side also!

Michael Flowers, who was supposed to be the best defensive player in the country (according to some CBS analysts) would be the third-best defensive guard on MU. Please.

Don't get me wrong, I was cheering for Davidson.  But after watching the game I had a kind of moment where I didn't let my Badger negativity consume me.  Other than Stiesma (sp?), they don't have a lot of punks.  Bo is obviously a good coach.  I think my issue with Wisconsin stems more from a small minority of fans that are beyond belief.

They had a nice year, especially since going into the season expectations were not that high.  I'll leave it at that.

I am really looking forward to watchimg more Davidson basketball. Love to see them take KU

Great game today - played like champions, but came up short.  They have a complete team - its just not curry.  White Lobster hit some great shots

It's a shame they didn't get a better shot on the final possession (seemed like there was a play they were trying to run that just wasn't happening), but Davidson played a great game nonetheless.  Somewhat ironic that the best challenge to the 1 seeds in the weekend's games came from a team that wasn't supposed to make it past the first round.

Is that the worst nickname ever?  The first time he said it, I refused to believe that he had actually said that.  Then he said it again, and I had to resign myself to the thought that someone would let themselves be called "White Lobster."

mviale

I was kind of shocked too - what if someone was nicknamed Black Coffee or Brown Rice?  I dont think a national broadcaster would be able to get away with that.
