Big East... 1-3 today

Great win by WVU vs. Duke.  I think MU showed very well today.  I'm disappointed in the efforts of Pitt and ND.

I think WVU and MU made the BE proud today but Pitt & ND didn't seem to play very inspired hoops.

Really unfortunate.  Combine that with KSU getting pounded and UCLA squeaking out a win, and nothing but WVU and Xavier really went the way I wanted.

The Big East still has Georgetown, Louisville, and Villanova to count on Sunday.  All have the better seed, but none have an easy game.  Let's hope the Big East can own 1/4 of the Sweet 16.

Pitt game was much closer than the final score.  For some reason, they hack their way to the Big East championship game every year and everyone picks them to go very far in the NCAAs and they always disappoint because their physical style is not tolerated in the NCAAs.  I thought they battled well tonight, but Michigan State hit a few key shots and things snowballed at the end.   The refs didn't get the memo that Young is allowed to travel and he got called for it in a big spot.

It sounds like ND got spanked, though.  They played opposite us so I didn't see any of it.  Harangody was 3-17 from the floor but grabbed 22 rebounds.  That's a crazy line.

Calvin:  Nobody thinks I'm a genius.

Agreed on the line, he had 7 offensive boards, I wonder how many were of his own misses...

Fantastic. Would have liked to see Pitt win, but anything that checks Young's infallibility with that fake works for me.
I usually pull for the BE, but Notre Dame is an exception. Happy to see them fall tonight with Gody dropping the ball apparently.
