Congratulations to Jerel, what an outstanding performance. 30 points, absolutely unreal.
"Marquette is bigger than any one person. Marquette is Marquette."

The man was possessed tonight.  Amazing performance.

A bit too hasty on that one three he missed after hitting like 3 straight, but can't be too mad at him, cuz like I said, he had just knocked down three straight prior to that, so he musta been feeling Hibachi-like.

I think the whole team, though, deserves a round of applause for the season.  Could have been better at points and there is still room for improvement, but this was most definitely a step up from last season.

Great job, Marquette Warriors!

NavinRJohnson

He played an unbelievable game. I think he really paniced at the end of regulation, as he appeared to have an open lane to the basket and more than enough time. Ah well.

I was shocked when Jerel took the three with 7 seconds left in regulation. I expected him to drive and either score or draw a foul with a couple seconds left. He can certainly make the three, as he showed again in OT, but it seemed like a strange decision at the time. Also unfortunate that he missed a mid-range jumper with about 20 seconds to go in OT that would have put us up by 3. He makes that shot all the time. Nevertheless, we wouldn't have even been in the game without Jerel's great overall performance.

Jerel was definitely a stud.  30 points in todays game, after scoring 27 0r 28 points in the ND game.  Can't expect much more.

Over 23 ppg in his last five.  Just as the old cliche goes, the best players are the ones that come up big in the big game.  If he can do what he did in his last five games consistantly over his senior year, he will be in the running for Big East Player of the Year.

After his very strong finish to the season, do we now have to worry about McNeal coming back for his senior year?

Gotta give Wesley some credit as well. He made some great plays at VERY clutch times.

I think we should make an exception with stud of the game after a loss.  Jerel undoubtedly deserves it tonight.
